Legolas stood in front of the window, staring out at the beautiful morning. Today was supposed to be the happiest day in his life, but he didn’t feel like it. Instead, he felt guilty for being happy when his cousin was still far from a healthy state. Legolas would have wanted to postpone the wedding until Erestor was able to attend to it, but he didn’t dare to ask. As a matter of fact, no one would have asked Thranduil anything just now; the King had been in a foul mood since Erstor’s pregnancy had been revealed. Legolas couldn’t understand his father’s fierce attitude about the situation. Erestor had always been like a second son to the King and now, because of one mistake, he had been exiled.

Legolas heard a knock at the door and asked the visitor to come in. He smiled after seeing that it was Elrond. He went to his betrothed, and happily leaned into his embrace.

Elrond held his betrothed close, enjoying their embrace but still he sensed something melancholy under Legolas’ façade.

“Are you all right, meleth nín? Do you still want to marry me? Why you are you so sad?” he finally asked.

“I’m so sorry, meleth. I don’t want to ruin our day, but it just feels so wrong to celebrate,” Legolas whispered hesitantly. He didn’t want Elrond to think that he had changed his mind; he loved the elf-lord more than he could ever believe possible.

“You are not ruining anything, Legolas nín. Of course you worry for your cousin, but, have you thought that he too might be relieved after the wedding and Thranduil’s departure?”

Elrond didn’t tell Legolas that he too felt guilty for his happiness. But they couldn’t postpone the wedding, because Thranduil was getting impatient. Besides, Elrond wanted the King out of Imladris as soon as possible. Everyone would breathe much more freely after Thranduil’s departure. But this was not the time to think about that. This was Legolas’ wedding day and Elrond wanted his beloved to be happy.

Legolas thought about Elrond’s words and he finally realized he was right. Erestor feared visibly that Thranduil would return to bark at him once more. Erestor seemed frightened every time Legolas went to see him and he relaxed only after he saw that Thranduil hadn’t come with him.

“I think you are right, meleth nín. And I must admit that I’m glad that our waiting is finally over,” Legolas whispered blushing. He already waited anxiously for the evening, and the wedding- night…

“Come then, Legolas nín. We have to go; your father is already waiting for us.”

Together, they left for the garden, where their bonding-ceremony was about to begin.

Erestor wasn’t the only one who didn’t attend to the celebration. Glorfindel had left to the patrol; only a few soldiers left with him. Glorfindel didn’t want to ruin Elrond’s happy day but he just couldn’t watch his friend’s joy when he was so depressed himself.

“I truly hoped that you would believe me, Erestor nín. I know I hurt you, but I would do anything to have you back. I will never love another.”

Legolas and Elrond rested on the bed, staring at each other with passion- darkened eyes. Both were completely naked but there were no hesitation or awkwardness between them.

“Legolas… Legolas nín. I have waited for you; this moment, for so long. Now you are finally mine,” Elrond breathed, pulling his new hervenn in his arms.

Legolas moaned when he felt Elrond’s strong body pressing against his own. His gasp smothered against Elrond’s lips as they kissed with rapidly growing fervor.

Elrond pinned his new hervenn against the bed, kissing him on the lips and finally pressing his tongue into Legolas’ sweet mouth. He groaned with desire when he felt Legolas opening up to him, letting him taste the intoxicating flavor. The young elf writhed beneath him, causing a white- hot fire to be shot through his body. Oh, how he wanted to bury himself inside of his meleth, to drown in him forever!

“Oh… Valar… Elrond!” Legolas cried out, when hot lips landed on his skin, feasting on him. He buried his hands into Elrond’s hair, running his fingers through raven tresses. A loud wail escaped from his lips when gentle hands slid on his body, caressing him ever so gently. Slowly but surely, he drowned in a sea of pleasure as passion started to build within him. Never had Legolas felt such need; he wanted, needed Elrond’s love, his addicting caresses that burned him to his very core.

He began to writhe beneath Elrond; he begged for mercy and finally his desperate plea was granted. He gasped when he felt the first, careful touch within him. Silently pleading for more, he looked into his beloved’s grey eyes which shone to him so lovingly.

“Take me, Elrond nín. Let me feel your love within me,” he whispered, feeling his whole being tightening with anticipation.

“I will, mír nín (my treasure), till the end of time and beyond,” Elrond said softly while he leaned closer.

Tears of happiness ran down Legolas’ face when he was finally filled with his meleth. Elrond felt heavenly in him, like he was made for him and him only. A broken plea escaped from his lips.

"Saes, meleth nín…" he whispered hoarsely, swaying his hips, "I need you so much, I love you so…"

“You have me now, Legolas nín. Always…” Elrond breathed, starting to move. He looked down at his beloved’s face and it shone from rapture. He had never beheld a sight as beautiful as Legolas lost in his pleasure, pleasure that he was responsible for. The young elf moaned his name as Elrond thrust into him again and again, claiming his body, heart and soul. Legolas’ tightness felt exquisite and the soft noises that escaped from his lips drove Elrond nearly mad. But despite his need, Elrond tried to be careful. He wanted this to last, loving the feeling of Legolas arching so beautifully beneath him.

Legolas shuddered, completely lost in overwhelming pleasure.

“Elrond!” He cried, as the waves of orgasm finally wracked his body. He struggled to catch his breath as he felt Elrond’ completion pulsing into him, making his pleasure all the more intense.

After a moment that felt like an eternity, Legolas finally opened his eyes and found Elrond staring at him with a slight worry.

“How do you feel, meleth nín? Did I hurt you? You were so quiet after…” Elrond began, but Legolas stopped him with a passionate kiss.

“You didn’t hurt me, meleth. I loved it, and I love you, now more than ever,” he assured him and to his surprise, he saw Elrond’s eyes shimmering.

“I love you too, Legolas nín. You are a true treasure and I will love you forever,” Elrond said, feeling a lump in his throat. Legolas was so beautiful, so giving that Elrond had no words to describe how he felt in that moment.

“I’m so happy, Elrond nín,” Legolas murmured, as he finally slept, still held securely in Elrond’s arms.

After long and hard thinking, Erestor finally made a decision. Legolas had begged Erestor countless times for him to stay in Imladris and raise his child there, but Erestor knew that it would be impossible. Too much had happened, and he had so painful memories there that he wanted nothing more than leave Imladris behind and forget everything. Erestor knew that Mirkwood would be out of the question too; Thranduil had meant every word and Erestor was now exiled from his home, forever.

Tears burned his eyes, but he forced them back. He had to be strong, for his child’s sake; it was everything he had left. Legolas had been supportive, but Erestor didn’t want to burden his cousin, not now, when Legolas was so happy.

There was only one place where he could live with his child. He would go to Valinor; would search some quiet place there and forget that he had ever been in Middle-earth.

The door opened and Erestor stiffened. Every time someone came in he feared Glorfindel would step in, but this time it was Elrond, to Erestor’s great relief. He liked Elrond, the healer was kind and compassionate, and was an excellent mate for Legolas. Erestor could see that his cousin was very happy with the Imladris’ lord.

Elrond sat beside Erestor’s bed, studying the young elf carefully.

“Have you decided where you want to live with your child, Erestor?” He then asked, still worried for Erestor’s paleness. The young elf was still far from healthy, even if he seemed much better than before.

“I truly have, Híren. I want to go to Valinor, as soon as possible. There is nothing for me in Middle-earth anymore,” Erestor said, silently wondering how his voice was so firm, even if his heart still was in complete turmoil. When he dared to meet Elrond’s gaze, he saw that his words had saddened the elf-lord.

“Are you sure? Legolas and I will miss you terribly, Erestor. You will always have a home with us, if you just wanted…” Elrond didn’t dare to continue. Glorfindel’s name had become a taboo in Erestor’s presence. Elrond’s heart ached when the young elf didn’t want to hear anything about the elf who was the father of his child. And Glorfindel’s heart was slowly dying because of Erestor’s rejection. But there was nothing he could do; Erestor’s health was still so fragile that any kind of pressure was completely out of the question.

Erestor swallowed, “I am quite sure. I will miss you too, but I cannot stay. I need to get away, to somewhere where I can forget.”

“I understand that, Erestor. But I really ask you to reconsider one more time. Or at least, I beg of you to stay in Imladris until your child is born. You are not in condition for the rough trip. I assume that you don’t want to endanger your child.”

Erestor buried his face into his hands and began to weep softly.

“Do I have a choice? I didn’t ask for this, nor for the exile from the only home I have ever known. But you are right. This child is innocent, and he is mine. I don’t want anything to happen to him,” he whispered between his sobs.

Elrond could have wept too when he pulled the sobbing elf into his arms. So, Glorfindel would have a son. A son that he would never know…
