Elrond hummed, as he walked slowly towards his favorite spot in the garden. The day had been so beautiful that he had shooed his hervenn outside and promised to join Erestor after taking care of some urgent matters. When Elrond finally made his way to the little clearing and his gaze reached Erestor's form, his heart melted.

Erestor sat under the tree, leaning his back to the trunk. The unfocused gaze in Erestor's dark eyes told that he was in a deep sleep and his lips had turned into a soft smile. There were flowers all over the clearing, but none of them could rival Erestor's almost ethereal beauty. Elrond could only stare at the breathtaking scene, silently thinking that if he hadn't loved Erestor already, he would have fallen in love with him at that moment.

Elrond went and sat beside Erestor, wondering if he dared to touch him at all. He didn't want to wake Erestor, but his heart ached to hold him close. To Elrond's delight, Erestor solved the problem for him and turned towards him, searching for his touch. Elrond pulled his hervenn tightly in his arms, and buried his face in the raven hair. Erestor purred in his slumber, but didn't wake up. Elrond, too, sighed contented and drifted off.

Elladan tried to assure the maid who had brought lunch to Elrond and Erestor, but found they had disappeared. The maid was worried, but Elladan was quite sure that Elrond and Erestor were both all right. Finally, he gave up to the maid's pleas to search them and asked Elrohir and Legolas to go with him.

Three young elves walked in the garden, but especially Legolas was hesitant.

"I must say that I don't like this at all. What if we find them in middle of... something?" The prince wondered aloud.

"We just need to be cautious. If we hear something suspicious, we can always back off. I doubt that they can manage to be completely silent, if they are doing something like that," Elladan said, grinning at his last words. Even more he was amused as he found that Legolas had noticed the hint and now blushed to the roots of his hair. The woodland-prince was a fierce lover and quite a vocal one.

They walked around quite a long time, but didn't find the missing elves. Finally, when they had almost given up, Legolas' sharp eyes picked them out in middle of meadow. All three smiled when they saw two raven-haired elves in a deep sleep, tightly entangled in loving embrace. After looking for some time at the sleeping elves, they turned and left two lovers in their peace.

Erestor slowly woke up and found himself in Elrond's arms. He yawned lazily and then smiled; how he loved to be just here, close to Elrond, his arms tightly wrapped around him. Erestor turned around in them embrace and gently kissed his hervenn. Elrond stirred at the touch and caressed Erestor's hair.

"Your idea was excellent, Elrond nín. I don't even remember when I have slept this soundly." Erestor sighed, resting his head against Elrond's chest. Elrond was just about to answer when he noticed something strange. First he could only stare at the object he hadn't seen before, but then he stood up and went to take a closer look. When he saw the contents of the little basket, he began to laugh.

"It seems that our warrior instincts are a little bit rusty. We didn’t wake up even if our three rascals had left us a little gift," Elrond smirked, as he presented Erestor a little bottle of wine, a delicious cheesecake and finally a little vial of oil.

"My my. I know exactly what I am going to taste first," Erestor purred and took the vial from Elrond.
