I love you, my angel,
More than life itself.
My home is in your heart,
Now and forever.
For you, my soul is singing
For you, my heart is beating.

Legolas was in his beloved’s rooms like so many times before. But this time, in his dream he was doing something he would never dare do when he was awake. He felt no shame, no fear as he stood in the middle of the room without any clothes, begging Elrond to take him. Elrond’s adoring gaze felt almost like a caress on his aroused body while being carried towards his beloved. And then finally, Elrond granted him his heart’s desire.
“I love you too, aen nín (my angel). More than I could ever tell,” Elrond whispered to him, but this time those familiar words had a completely different meaning. His whole life Legolas had loved this beautiful Elf lord but only now did he finally understand the true power of their love. Legolas trembled when Elrond pulled him closer, and their lips met in a first, earth-shattering kiss.
In the very next moment, Legolas found himself resting on the mattress, staring at Elrond as he undressed himself. Never had he seen anything more beautiful than his meleth… and Elrond too was aroused….because of him! The knowledge made his heart sing.
Elrond settled beside him; and Legolas couldn’t stop himself anymore. He had to touch Elrond; he had to explore this beauty that made his whole being burn with desire. Legolas moaned when Elrond pinned him against the bed; he wanted Elrond more than he ever believed possible.
Legolas cried out with pleasure when he felt Elrond’s gentle touch on him for the very first time, preparing, and stretching him further. He smiled happily, when Elrond finally leaned closer and he slowly was filled.
He kissed Elrond’s tears away, and held him tightly, as they swayed together in the waves of ecstasy. Elrond was his beloved mate, the joy of his life, the very breath of his being and Legolas knew that he would never want another.
“I love you… love you!” Elrond whispered, thrusting into him again and again, until they reached the stars together and their faer (souls) became one.

Legolas woke unwillingly. He noticed that once again spilled his seed while he slept. How he wanted to stay in his dreamland forever! He knew full well that he would never have his heart’s desire. Elrond would never see him as any other than an elfling who had sometimes fetched protection against nightmares from Elrond’s arms.
He smiled when the memories started to flood in his mind.

Legolas woke with a start. He couldn’t remember his nightmare, but he was far too frightened to sleep again. Legolas did, as he had so many times before and sneaked into Elrond’s room.
“What are you doing here, pen dithen (little one)? Shouldn’t you be in your bed and sleeping?” Elrond asked to him, but didn’t send him away.
Legolas smiled, when Elrond raised the blanket as a silent invitation, letting him to crawl beside him. He loved to sleep in Elrond’s arms, he felt so safe and warm in there and Elrond smelled so good. Legolas snuggled closer and sighed happily as Elrond stroked his hair, saying:
“Sleep now, pen dithen. You don’t need to worry about bad dreams when you are here with me.”
“I know. I love being in your arms. I would stay here forever.”
Legolas heard Elrond chuckling, amused. “But you cannot. What if you get married someday? Your mate would surely want to sleep with you.”
Legolas didn’t hesitate. He had a perfect solution for that problem.
“Oh, that wouldn’t be a problem at all. When I am old enough, I will marry you.”

“When I’m old enough, I will marry you,” Legolas whispered at himself, smiling. Oh, how much he wanted those childish words to be true! Legolas had always loved Elrond, but in the last few years, his feelings had changed. He had begun to see these dreams that had presented a completely new, different side of Elrond. And Legolas’ young heart had been set on fire for the very first time.
And now Elrond was coming to the Mirkwood for the first time since his childhood. They had visited Imladris several times later, and a year ago Legolas had spent a whole summer in Imladris without his parents. His face darkened, when he remembered that summer. That time had changed their relationship completely. Legolas had begun to see these dreams, and feared terribly that Elrond knew about them. Why else had the Elf- lord been more distant than before? Oh aye, he had been completely friendly to him, but almost impossible to reach. There were no riding trips or dinners in private anymore; it had sometimes seemed that Elrond almost feared to be alone with him. Legolas’ heart ached with the thought. Did Elrond really think that he couldn’t restrain himself?
Legolas was hurt by Elrond’s distance, but on the other hand, he could understand him. He was still underage and therefore all intimate relationships were forbidden. But now… this time all would be different… He was now an adult and free to pursue his heart’s desire.
A gentle smile spread on Legolas’ face when he remembered the reason for Elrond’s visit. His beloved ada Lindir was pregnant again, and wanted Elrond to deliver the child. Legolas thought that his ada had never been more beautiful than he was now, carrying his sister. He positively radiated and enjoyed shamelessly Thranduil’s loving attention.
Legolas loved his both adas; their love was something he wanted for himself too, and he was sure that Elrond was meant for him.
“I will get what I want and I want you, Elrond. Now I am old enough, and I will marry you.”

“I will get what I want and I want you, Elrond. Now I am old enough, and I will marry you.”
Elrond was bewildered when those cursed words echoed in his mind again. It was as if Legolas was there with him, as he heard the words so clearly. But, he wasn’t and for that Elrond was thankful. Legolas was safely in Mirkwood with his parents. His face darkened when he remembered that very soon he would be traveling to Mirkwood… and to Legolas.
“And how in Arda will I manage to stay away from him? I could never tell Thranduil and Lindir that I love their son; he deserves someone much better than I am.”
Elrond wept. He wept for his empty and cold life, for his love that was completely hopeless. He was so deep in his misery that he didn’t notice the door open.
“Elrond! What is the matter, tell me,” a gentle voice asked from him.
Elrond delighted so much that he almost forgot his grief. He had waited his captain’s return for weeks.
“Glorfindel! How in Arda you are here already? I didn’t expect you yet,” Elrond asked, but the elda wasn’t fooled that easily.
“Don’t try to avoid answering my question, peredhel! I asked why I found you here crying your heart out.” Glorfindel said, frowning.
Elrond squirmed under his captain’s unwavering gaze. He could never tell his pitiful secret to anyone, not even Glorfindel who had quickly become his friend and confidante since his return from Mandos’ Halls two years ago. The only thing that sometimes irritated Elrond was Glorfindel’s overzealous need to protect him at all cost. But he accepted it nevertheless because he understood how much Glorfindel still suffered because of the loss his beloved Gondolin.
“It was a… passing wave of regret, nothing more. Leave it be. And now… pray tell me, did Lord Celeborn throw you out from Lórien? Why are you are here so soon?”
Glorfindel smirked wickedly.
“Let’s just say that he was bored to tears when he had to watch my lovesick sighing and he sent me home as soon as possible. And I also succeeded to fulfill the request you gave me,” he said and gave Elrond a parchment.
“Thank you, meldir. You can go now. I can guess that Erestor had missed you greatly,” Elrond smiled. He had been stunned when he had found out about Erestor and Glorfindel being lovers but he was happy for them. The cold, distant councilor had turned into warm and caring elf under Glorfindel’s love, and Glorfindel had found peace from his nightmares and regrets in Erestor’s arms.
Elrond finally convinced his friend that he was all right, and Glorfindel went to search for his lover. Elrond turned his attention to the parchment in his hand. He opened it slowly, and his heart started to race.
Dear Lord Elrond,
The preparation for our journey to Imladris had already begun. Next summer I will personally set my daughter’s hand in yours, for you two to marry. May the Valar bless this union that is waited and welcomed.
Lord Celeborn

Elrond was dead tired. He was finally in Mirkwood after a long and hard trip. The weather hadn’t been the best possible, but here he was now..
“How have you been, Elrond? You look a little bit tired, if I may say so,” Lindir said, when they sat at the dinner. Elrond smiled when he looked at his foster-son. Lindir my have been heavily pregnant, but he was a stunning sight. He had always been beautiful, but love and happiness made him even more radiant.
“The trip was quite hard, I must admit. But I am more than fine. You have reason to congratulate me, by the way,” Elrond answered, hoping that his voice wouldn’t quiver too much.
“Oh? And why is that?” Lindir asked, excitedly.
“I am to be married. To Lady Celebrían, Lord Celeborn’s daughter.”
Elrond didn’t dare to look at Legolas when he made the announcement. He cringed inwardly when the young elf suddenly rose and ran away, throwing the door closed behind him.
