*****
Light within the darkness,
That’s what you are.
My beautiful angel, always
Always, you look at me
With love in your eyes.
Love that steals my breath away,
And makes my soul to sing.

“I love you, Elrond nín ( my Elrond). Take me. Make me yours,” the golden-haired elf pleaded, making the Elf-lord tremble with need. Elrond could only stare, mesmerized, at this beauty who stood before him, naked and aroused, begging to be taken.
“I love you too, aen nín (my angel). More than I could ever tell,” Elrond whispered, pulling the elf closer and kissing him gently. The elf trembled in his arms, and their embrace grew more passionate. Elrond didn’t remember any more why he wasn’t allowed to have his meleth. He felt only the overwhelming desire that pulsed in his veins. Elrond smiled happily and carried his meleth to the bed.
The elf rested on the mattress, completely bare to him and visibly burning with need. Without hesitation, Elrond undressed and settled beside him.
“Oh, Elrond…you are amazing! I have never seen anything this beautiful,” the elf whispered, running his hands over Elrond’s body. They kissed, forgetting the world around them. The elf didn’t resist at all, when Elrond pinned him against the bed. He didn’t flinch once, while Elrond prepared him for his possession. Instead, he cried out with pleasure, begging for more.
When they were finally one, Elrond wept with joy. Never had he known the ecstasy that he had found from his meleth’s arms. This elf was his beloved mate, the joy of his life, the very breath of his being.
“I love you… love you!” Elrond whispered, thrusting into his beloved again and again, until they reached the stars together and their faer (souls) became one as well.

Elrond woke abruptly; he was sweating and trembling. To his dismay, he noticed that he had once again spilled his seed while he slept.
“NO! This cannot be true! I cannot continue dreaming about him! It is wrong. He is far too young and beautiful for me. No matter how much I love him, he can never be mine,” Elrond thought, feeling miserable. He didn’t dare to sleep again but sat before the fire, thinking how he could get rid of this unwanted, forbidden desire.
As much as he tried to stop them, memories started to flood in his mind.

Elrond woke when he heard his bedroom door opening and a little elfling sneaked in.
“What are you doing here, pen dithen (little one)? Shouldn’t you be in your bed and sleeping?” Elrond asked, smiling at the child. He couldn’t be angry at him; the child was far too sweet and trusting.
“I saw a bad dream. I couldn’t sleep,” the elfling answered, smiling sleepily.
“Why you didn’t go to your parents, then? I’m sure that they wouldn’t turn you away.”
“Because I wanted you. You are so warm and safe. Can I sleep with you?”
Elrond couldn’t deny the child, who smiled at him so sweetly, with a hopeful gaze in his eyes. He raised the blanket as a silent invitation, and the child crawled in his arms. Elrond smiled when he heard the child sighing happily. He stroked his golden hair and said:
“Sleep now, pen dithen. You don’t need to worry about bad dreams when you are here with me.”
“I know. I love being in your arms. I would stay here forever.”
Elrond chuckled, amused. “But you cannot. What if you get married someday? Your mate would surely want to sleep with you.”
“Oh, that wouldn’t be a problem at all. When I am old enough, I will marry you.”

After a sleepless night, Elrond went to his study. He took the parchment he had received a week ago, and still waited for his answer. From the very beginning, he was about to decline the request the parchment introduced, but now he thought about the offer again. Was it so bad, after all? Was it so bad to marry Lady Celebrían and produce children with her? She was a beautiful and kind elleth, and surely would turn his thoughts away from this annoying, embarrassing crush. Finally, his mind made, Elrond started to write a letter to Lady Galadriel. He would marry Lady Celebrían and forgot those feelings forever!
* * * *
“We cannot let that happen. They are not meant together, you know that.”
“I know. But he is stubborn, and completely convinced that he has to marry her. What can we do? And there is even more than that; her mother has forced her to accept him, even if she loves another. She is guarded and all possibilities to escape have been eliminated.”
A long silence fell between the two Valar as they thought about the situation. It was extremely important that Elrond would bind with the one who was chosen for him, but the stubborn Elf-Lord would have none of it.
“The Lady is blinded by ambition, and turned down every try to speak reason. It seems that she cannot accept a mere marchwarden as his daughter’s hervenn (husband).”
“So, it seems that we have only one option left.”
* * * *
Celebrian looked at her foster-brother who had just uttered the most horrible words imaginable aloud. Her melethron (male lover), her handsome and joyous Veryan (brave) had gone, forever. Orcs had ambushed his patrol and he was now in the Halls of Mandos. Tears flowed from her eyes and the ache in her heart was quickly becoming unbearable. She would have done anything for him, even married another as her naneth demanded, to save her beloved’s life. She would have been able to continue, as long as she knew that he would be all right. But this… there was nothing left. Not one single reason to stay amongst living.
“Saes, Master Námo! Let me follow him. There is no life for me without him,” She sent her last, desperate plea to the Vala of Death. She didn’t hear Rúmil’s frightened pleas to open her eyes. Soon, very soon she would be together with her love, forever…
Celebrían saw a dark figure appearing in front of her.
“Master Námo! This is it! The moment of truth!”
“You are right, my child. We did this on purpose, to save you from an unhappy marriage. Lord Elrond has another path in his life, and the marriage between you two had ruined everything. But this way, you will be able to marry your real soulmate. Your mother cannot reach you from here,” The Vala said, extending his hand. Without hesitation, Celebrian stepped closer and took the offered hand.
* * * *
“No! I want you back! I WILL get you back, no matter what! Do you really think that you can escape me to the Halls of Mandos, you foolish child? I will punish every single one who let you go, DO YOU HEAR ME?”
Celebrían shuddered when she heard her naneth’s raging. She raised her gaze pleadingly.
“Help me, saes, Master Námo! I know she will do as she says. I want to stay, but I cannot bear the thought that my loved ones must suffer because of my escape,” she pleaded, with tears in her eyes.
“You can be at peace, my child. Everything is arranged, and your naneth will not punish anyone.”
With that, Námo disappeared and at his place was suddenly a tall elf with auburn hair and green eyes.
“Meleth! I was so scared! I thought I would never see you again,” Célebrian cried, launching herself into his arms.
“Shh… You won’t lose me ever again. And now we are free to be together as we were meant from the beginning. I will never let you go,” the elf said gently, holding her tightly.
* * * *
“Are you ready to fulfill this request?” Námo asked the fëa (soul) that had been summoned in front of him.
The fëa nodded silently. This was her only chance to get free from the Halls of Mandos. They were a terrible place to her, who had done such grave crimes. Almost 50 years she had suffered terribly in here, and she was ready to do anything to make it cease.
“Remember: you are not allowed to consummate the marriage, no matter what. If you do, you will be cursed forever and I will destroy you completely so that you will be part of the Song no more. Do you hear me?”
The fëa bowed, disappearing from Námo’s sight.
The Vala looked at his brother who sat beside him.
“Are you sure that this was wise thing to do?” Lórien asked, frowning.
“Believe me, this was the only thing to do. You heard her. We cannot let her punish innocent elves, only because she didn’t have her way. This way she will get what she deserves.”
“But… why… why did it have to be her who you send back to Celebrian’s place? You know full well that she is dangerous. Hadn’t she caused enough trouble last time?”
“Exactly, she is the only one who has enough power and courage to do the deed.”
Lórien still didn’t seem convinced.

Galadriel looked at his daughter, with a triumphant gaze in her eyes.
“So, you finally came to your senses and will do as I say?” The Lady made sure.
Vanmoriel kept her face and answered dutifully:
“Aye, nana. I’m sorry I didn’t’ realize that you only mean what is best for me. I will travel to Imladris and will marry Lord Elrond.”
