She had felt cold since the day she had renounced her immortal life, but he had always kept her heart warm.

She had felt afraid since the night her father left her with bitter tears, but he had always kept her safe.

She had felt alone since the ships had passed leaving her behind, but he had always kept her company.

She had cried for her parents in the night, but he had given her a family.

She had grieved as the magic left the world, but there had always been light in his loving eyes.

Now he was gone.
