Her eyes shone with the joy of one newly in love, newly bound to the one she loved so dear.

In her voice rang the song of a life reborn and a life to come.

Yet in her heart I saw the fear she had long ago pushed from her mind. Fear of her knowledge; the knowledge that she would lose the one she loved so dear and end her days alone.

Her heart sang with overwhelming joy, yet it cried endless tears for a future it could not change. Tears for a life she was still yet to live.
