Summary: Legolas is ambushed in the woods.

Before slipping into the small storage room, Legolas quickly
looked back. He brought dirt with him from outside and a handful of mud
as well. He knew he did not have much time before he eventually would be
found, but he worked fast and soon had created a fake door.
He sat in front of the muddy painting and lifted his dirty hands in front
of his face and his elegant fingers traced stripes across his face. He mumbled
a series of sentences. Some known, others he hardly understood himself;
then he opened his eyes. The enemy drew nearer. He heard them, he smelled
them and in the end, he would have seen their foul faces if the door had
not opened. Shocked, he realised the ritual had worked and Legolas got to
his feet. Shakily, he saw the door swing increasingly open and finally,
there was no choice but to step inside. It was his only escape.
The sounds of his disappointed enemies reached his sensitive eardrums and
unsteadily he sank to the ground. He heard them pound at the wall and he
got to his knees because he had to move on. What if all that happened was
him, just escaping to the other side of the wall? All the foul creatures
had to do was to get out of the hut and come around to catch him. Legolas
had much strength, but he was reaching his limits quickly and he knew they
would grab him easily. However, no such thing happened. The voices and the
wall slowly dissolved like mist.
He was relieved, tired. All he needed was rest; he succumbed mercifully to sleep. He awoke to a sunny clearing. He smiled because it seemed he was back in his beloved Mirkwood. He felt strangely quickened and tried to move his feet only to realise it was impossible. Confused he looked everywhere around. Despite seeing spectacularly well, he couldn't see what prevented him from leaving. Finally, he heard human voices, but that did not alarm him at the moment. He felt convinced he would get help. Standing dignified, he awaited the human's arrival.
Smilingly, he recognized the young Estel of Imladris. He didn't wonder about why the young Dunedaín was suddenly in Mirkwood. He needed help, and therefore any handiness was logical.
"Greetings, Estel."
"Greetings, Legolas..."
The young Mirkwood prince thought that Estel's voice was deep and pleasant; the raspy tones tickled his hearing in a comforting fashion and he suddenly found his feet moving towards him. The obstacles had disappeared.
"What are you doing out here all by yourself?" the man asked him. Legolas frowned; he couldn't remember. He had tried to escape but had not really had time to think about what happened. He remembered he created an escape route when he urgently needed one, but everything seemed a bit of a blur and it still was.
"I must try and get back," Legolas said apologizingly, but then he felt the man's arms around him. His hands were covered in lovely black fur gloves.
"What is your hurry?" Estel asked and Legolas shook, suddenly he felt so cold, despite the man was holding him.
"I have no idea..." Legolas said, pressing against
the man. Normally he could have pushed the man away with hardly any effort,
but somehow the body yielded not. Estel opened his mouth and the first surprising
sting, when the sharp black canines pierced the Elf's skin, mostly elicited
a gasp.
Legolas succeeded in twisting away but then he was attacked frontally -
that was not possible. Estel had stood behind him. Anew the young prince
found himself wrapped in soft fur clad hands, caressing his cheek, luring,
seducing.
Legolas almost gave into the spellbound cooing, but regained his senses
as fangs sunk into the already pulsing wounds. He felt as well as heard
the man take a deep sip from his body and the sheer horror finally coordinated
with his senses.
Nauseous, he twisted away, but more Estel look-a-likes attacked him, and he finally realised there in fact were more than one.
He stretched his arms in front of him to try to protect himself. He felt the men all around him. He instinctively knew he couldn't escape, but he still thought he had some strength left to fight.
He noticed the men were different in size, and the tallest of them all came closer. He was now held in place by as many as was needed, and helplessly, Legolas' throat was exposed for the taking.
He closed his eyes not wanting to witness the treacherous sight of a close friend maltreating his body. He had to realise this was not real. It had to be something else.
The sound of his blood drawn in deep slurps made him sick. Listening to the sounds of body fluids stolen from the source... He felt weaker. His mouth was parched and his heart pounded desperately trying to feed his body with oxygen... Then he fell to the ground.
The last he heard before darkness overtook him was the characteristic sound of giant spiders' feet retreating.

Estel released the last arrow from his position and the foul creatures decided
to let go of their victim and escape.
The ranger jumped to the ground and swiftly gathered the Elf
in his arms to take him safely away. The spiders wouldn't come back the
next couple of minutes.
Witnessing how they attacked Legolas, who for some reason never resisted
or defended himself before it was too late, puzzled Estel. He became seriously
worried as the black fangs started drawing blood and he had intervened just
seconds before the foul creatures would have spun the Elf in their tight
web.
Legolas awoke feeling euphoric. He was confused and seemed to float a top of his body. Then he crashed down, entering his body full force and he awoke with a keening scream. Beside him, he saw Estel and he fled to the corner of the bed. The distance was minimal, but he could escape no further. His duvet slid down, exposing most of his nakedness, but all he focused on was the terror he felt seeing his attacker again.
"Legolas. It is I, Estel."
"I know what you did to me..." Legolas started but then he remembered there were too many Estels; that something had been wrong.
"We met in the woods...," he said.
Estel shook his head. "No. I rescued you from death. You were attacked by giant spiders." His eyes slid down the creamy coloured torso, liking what he saw.
Legolas turned his head. That was not how it was. However, he was aware he could not trust his senses. The foul creatures must have enchanted him.
"Where am I?"
"In your own chamber in the Royal castle."
"Why are you here?"
"I had a message needed to be delivered from Lord Elrond."
Legolas nodded. "How long have I been lying here?"
"Two days. You were close to death. Nevertheless, your blood should be restored, and you should feel better soon."
"I thank you, Estel. I was lucky you were there to rescue me."
"If not - you would have been dead," the Dunedaín stated matter of fact.
"I owe you. What can I do to repay my debt?"
"Not much - if you will let me take what I want."
Legolas' expression hardly changed, but instantly he knew what the man referred to. He saw it in his eyes. Slowly he slithered to the side, trying to get out of the bed nonchalantly.
"I have to use the private facilities," he said, but Estel wasn't fooled. "Why did you even wait for me to come back to life?"
"It would be a shame not to taste you twice while I had the opportunity," the man replied.
Then he dissolved into many giant spiders and soon Legolas' screams from the bottom of the forest were silenced, leaving him cocooned, a feast for later.
