Summary: A piece of drabble I wrote when I had nothing better to do at work (thank heavens I have the front office pretty much to myself). No rhyme, no reason to this…just my poor attempt at humour… I haven't had my regular beta look at this, just hubby, so apologies if something doesn't make sense.

"Elladan! What are you doing?!"

"Shh!! Listen…"

Elrohir joined his brother to listen at the door, which led into Erestor and Glorfindel's room. A muffled thump was heard, followed by a groan.

Raising an eyebrow at his brother, Elrohir smirked. "I wonder what Glorfindel is doing to Erestor?"

"Or what Erestor is doing to Glorfindel?" The two brothers grinned at each other and quietened as the sound of something sliding across the floor was heard. Their grins grew even wider.

"Are you thinking what I am thinking, Elrohir?"

"Elladan, Elrohir!" They whirled around at the sound of their father's voice. "Since when in this household," asked Elrond coldly, "does one listen at doors?" He stood in front of them, glowering. "Whatever is happening behind this door does NOT concern you. You should be ashamed of yourselves – now go!"

"Yes, Ada," the twins mumbled, faces red. "We're sorry…" They looked at their father's stony face and then fled as quickly as they could.

A much louder thump caught Elrond's attention, and he turned his head to the door, face alight with curiosity. He carefully looked around him before placing his ear closer to the door, and immediately heard Glorfindel's voice.

"What happens if I slide this in here?"

"Hmmm…I think I rather like that." Erestor's voice sounded low and seductive to Elrond's ears, and he flushed.

"What about this, meleth?" Was Elrond imagining it, or was there the sound of a purr in Glorfindel's voice?

"Oh, yes! This is absolutely perfect…"

There was a brief silence before Erestor spoke again, this time a little breathlessly. "Really Glorfindel, concentrate on what you are doing. You can not kiss me and do this at the same time…"

"Ah, but I am an elf of many talents. I think you will find I can do many things while I kiss you…"

"Just keep moving, pen-valthennen – we do not have all day."

"As you wish, seron vell…" Various images, conjured by their words, had begun to form in Elrond's mind, and he shook his head to try and banish them.

"Ada?"

Elrond jumped at Arwen's voice. "Is something wrong, Ada? Why do you shake your head?"

"No…no, ‘tis nothing…nothing at all," he replied, stepping away from the door, offering his daughter a weak smile.

"Are you sure? You seem a little distracted…"

"I am perfectly fine, Arwen." Elrond cleared his throat. "Did you want me for something?"

"No. I was only making my way to the garden when I noticed you standing rather close to the door."

"Yes…well…I just wanted to see Erestor for something."

Arwen cast her father a puzzled look. "But why *were* standing so close to the door, Ada? Surely you were not eavesdropping?"

"Of course not!" Elrond tried to look affronted. "As I said, I merely wished to see Erestor." He could see his daughter was unconvinced, and quickly changed the subject. Approaching her, he offered her his arm.

"However, it can wait. Will you allow your father to escort you to the garden?"

"If you wish, Ada." Linking her arm into his, she cast him a bemused look. Elrond sighed. At least Arwen was not pressing the issue, and would keep this to herself.

"Come, tell me about your day," he asked, as they both walked out into the sunlight.

"This is absolutely perfect, Glorfindel." Erestor looked around him in satisfaction. "It is amazing how re-arranging some pieces of furniture can change the appearance of a room."

The seneschal wrapped his arms around his lover.

"I quite agree melethen. Though I had not wanted to shift some of the heavier pieces, I confess it does look more spacious now. It was certainly one of your better ideas."

"One of my better ideas, pen-valthennen?" Erestor turned within the arms encircling him. "I can tell you of an even better one," he purred.

Glorfindel cocked his head to one side. "Indeed…and what would that be, ervainen vorn?"

Erestor leaned in and kissed him. "Come to bed, and I will show you…"
