Summary: In a land of magic and demons, nothing is what it seems. On the
surface, Orli was just a simple boy, completely in love with his hero, Viggo;
little did he know within him lurked a power that could shape history.
Author's Note: Inspired by the Japanese anime Bastard.
Author's Note 2: I'm overstressed, uninspired, overworked and in need of
smut. It's a bad combination all around.

Orli whistled a happy tune as he washed the laundry he had pilfered from Sir Viggo's room. Cleaning the knight's clothes wasn't his job, but he loved doing it; in fact, he loved everything that had anything to do with serving Sir Viggo. Priest Ian had told him many times before that his obsession was unnatural, but he simply couldn't help himself. The knight was so completely and utterly dreamy!
Orli pulled the loincloth he was washing from the sudsy water and inspected his handiwork with a goofy smile. It was sparkling clean, totally spotless! Oh, to think he was holding Lord Viggo's underwear... he shuddered delightfully at the sublime joyful feeling.
The young man took a pair of breeches from the laundry pile and soaked them in water. He was so engrossed in his task that he had not even noticed the warriors milling about the courtyard, preparing to defend the city. All he could think of was the smile he would get from his hero when he presented Lord Viggo with the cleaned clothes.
A loud explosion shook the citadel of Metaricana, but Orli was too busy fighting a particularly difficult stain to be bothered. Cleaning his beloved knight's laundry was the highlight of the young scribe's day; he would not let **anything** interfere with his task, not even a dark sorcerer riding a 3-headed fire-breathing dragon, bent on destroying the city.
A rough hand grabbed Orli's shoulders and forced him to his feet. "You must come with me at once, Orlando."
Priest Ian was Orli's guardian as well as a Protector of the city. In other words, to the young scribe, the old man's word was law. Still, there was no way Orli would ever leave Lord Viggo's underwear unattended in the public courtyard; he would rather die!
"But I'm doing laundry, master," said the youth defiantly, clutching Sir Viggo's breeches to his chest as if they were a prized treasure.
Ian let out a sigh of exasperation; his young charge lived in his own little world centered around Sir Viggo Mortensen, the Golden Knight of Metaricana. Orlando had no idea of propriety or priorities. "A powerful foe is attacking the city, young one; Sir Viggo needs our help."
"I can understand why Lord Viggo needs you, master; but why does he need me? I don't know how to fight," replied Orli with a frown, though his defiant stance had softened. He would love to be 'of use' to his hero; he just couldn't see how he could help, other than doing the knight's laundry, fixing his meals, feeding his horse, cleaning his rooms, polishing his armor, drawing his baths and...
"You'll see, young one. Trust me," said the old man as he took his young protégé by the hand and began dragging him along, all the while hoping he was not making the worst mistake of his life.
*****
Though Orli had lived in the citadel all his life, this was his first time inside the Royal Palace. It was an eye-opener, no doubt; the stain-glass windows and domed ceilings were so beautiful he couldn't help but stare dumbfounded. All around him, refugees poured into the throne room. The lower city had been breached; the dragon's fire breath had made short work of the granite walls. It seemed that defeat was inevitable.
Orli froze as he spotted Sir Viggo stalking towards them. All he could think of was that the knight looked devastating handsome with his hair tousled from fighting and eyes glinting with grim determination. All he wanted to do was drop to his knees and worship his brave hero!
"Why have you called me back from the walls, Priest?" the knight asked harshly, eager to rejoin his men in defending the city. He knew it was a futile effort; but maybe with his leadership, the knights could hold the dark sorcerer back long enough for the townsfolk to escape.
"Because there is one here who can save us all, my lord," answered Ian quietly as he cast a glance at the boy beside him.
Viggo knew the young scribe very well. How could he not, since the boy was always trying to take over his squire's, his stable-boy, his maid and his manservant's jobs. He knew Orli was harmless, but he found the boy's obsession a bit disconcerting. Though the youth was a beauty to behold, Viggo preferred his lovers with a bit more class and maturity. "I don't understand..."
At this moment, Priest Christopher rushed onto the scene and grabbed the young man, sequestering Orli behind his priestly robes. "Ian, are you mad?! You can't release him; he is more likely to kill us all than help us against our enemies."
"We have no choice, Christopher. This attacking sorcerer is beyond all of us. We need Legolas," replied Ian as he held his colleague's eye in a contest of will.
Viggo remembered the legendary demon wizard Legolas. The immortal was rumored to possess powers that rivaled the gods. His strength was only exceeded by his cold-bloodedness and zest to destroy. With the help of his two trusted generals, Karl the Shadow Master and David the Frost Lord, he had almost succeeded in razing civilization to the ground.
Viggo was a child then; but he was here, in Metaricana, to witness man's last stand against chaos. It was a hard-fought battle; but in the end, hope prevailed. Using the Four Jewels of Time, the Priests called upon the power of the gods and killed the demon wizard. He saw Legolas perish with his own eyes.
"But that damnable demon wizard is dead, isn't he?" asked the knight as another explosion rocked the city. They could hear the thundering footsteps of the great three-headed dragon, Hydra. The end was at hand.
"No, Legolas is very much alive. Even with the powers of the gods, we cannot destroy one as powerful as he. We can only seal him away," explained Ian as Christopher let out a defeated sigh and push Orli towards the knight.
"And now is time to break the seal," whispered Christopher, as if he were unable to believe his own words.
Orli was completely confused. He didn't know anything about Legolas or wizards or seals; but he did have an imaginary friend, 'Elfie', who taught him ways to get out of trouble whenever he was in it, which was quite often. When Ian gave him another push towards Lord Viggo, the scribe decided he really liked their current situation.
Though Orli was still a virgin, as he did not want anyone other than his hero, he was by no means innocent. He had a very active imagination and right now, his mind had found an extremely pleasant connotation to the words 'breaking the seal.' Always one to speak without much self-censorship, he asked with hope sparkling in his coco eyes, "You mean you want Lord Viggo to take me?"
"You cannot be serious, Priests. This is neither the time nor place," protested the knight when Christopher practically shoved Orli into his arms.
"Orlando's seal of purity is what keeps Legolas within. Once it's broken, the demon wizard can break free," replied Ian in a severe tone, giving the knight a stern look as if Viggo was an errant child.
"This is only a one-time thing, Viggo. You will not be bound to Orlando as a lover after this," reassured Christopher, knowing the Golden Knight had no wish to be tied to this beautiful boy. Though Viggo hid it well, the old man suspected the knight was quite fond of Metaricana's Princess, Liv.
The knight looked at the boy in his arms who was grinning like a fool. Orli was beautiful; even if the Priests were wrong, even if claiming the boy didn't bring out Legolas, it would not be an unpleasant task. Still, there was no way Viggo would make a show out of it in public; his sense of decency wouldn't allow it. "Not here."
"The guard's chambers, then. Now." said Ian as he gave the two younger men a push towards the direction of the enclave beside the throne. He could only hope they had enough time to set Legolas free before the city's last defenses were breached.

Viggo practically carried the boy into the small chamber, knowing time was of the essence. Once the door was closed, he quickly unlaced his breeches to free his member. With swift deft movements, he pumped his manhood, getting it ready for its task. But unluckily, his cock did not respond well to stress and time pressure; it remained limp despite all his efforts.
Orli never thought he'd live to see Lord Viggo's manhood. This was like a dream come true. He stood frozen, in awe at its thickness and length until 'Elfie' spoke in his mind, "Don't just stand here, Orli, go worship Lord Viggo."
Orli shivered with delight at the thought of fulfilling a life-long fantasy. Without another second's delay, he fell to his knees and kissed the tip of his hero's flaccid organ. Viggo hissed in pleasure as more reverent kisses followed, mapping his entire length, slowly bringing him to arousal.
Orli had dreamed of doing this to the knight numerous times before; he knew exactly what he was doing. And it helped to have Elfie whispering suggestions in his mind. He'd never thought of pulling back the loose-folds of skin near the head of Viggo's shaft gently to get at that one spot that made his hero cried out. Kissing, licking and suckling, he brought Viggo's manhood to a full and very impressive arousal.
Viggo's shaft was leaking copiously when he finally gathered enough resolve to stop Orli's oral assault on his senses. How he wanted to let the boy continue, to drown in the sensation of being worshiped by knowing lips and tongue. But today, he could not afford the time. "Stop," the knight whispered huskily as he helped Orli to his feet.
Orli trembled as his hero told him to unlace his breeches, turn around and brace himself against the wall. This was it, the moment he had been dreaming of for years! Viggo's going to claim him. He quickly did as the knight commanded; with his hands on the wall, his legs parted, naked buttocks jutting out lewdly in invitation, he whispered, "Please, take me, Lord Viggo."
The knight knew they didn't have time to waste, but he wasn't about to take a virgin without preparation. Slicking his fingers with spittle, he carefully pushed a digit inside Orli's tight passage. To his surprise, there was absolutely no resistance from the boy's guardian muscles; Orli simply moaned in a most wanton manner and pushed back against him for more.
Viggo added another finger and watched it sank into the youth's willing body. Once again, there was no resistance, just more seductive moaning and hip-rolling. The knight paused, wondering if the boy wasn't exactly pure anymore. His inaction did not last long however, as the ground shook from another of the dragon's attacks, reminding him of the urgency of his task.
Without further hesitation, Viggo pulled his fingers from the boy's passage and placed his cock at the entrance. Excited and eager beyond reason, Orli pushed back, taking his hero's thick manhood inside his tight heat with a cry.
Viggo had plenty of experience with both sexes, but nothing had ever felt quite this good before. Orli's body gripped him just right, not so tight that it bordered on pain, but just snug enough to exert the perfect amount of pressure on his turgid shaft. Seeing how Orli was writhing against him, greedy for more of his cock, he knew it wasn't necessary to hold back his passion. Placing a firm hand on the boy's waist, he began to mark Orli with his forceful thrusts.
Orli screamed in pleasure as Viggo's powerful strokes hit his sweet spot relentlessly. His cock swelled and twitched from the sensory overload, ready to explode despite the lack of direct touch. Elfie's voice gasped in his head, telling him to squeeze his lover's cock with his inner muscles. Orli tried his best to comply, trusting his imaginary friend implicitly; he was rewarded when Viggo groaned and quickened his pace, driving even harder and faster into Orli's heated passage.
Orli held out for as long as he could, not wanting this perfect dream to end, but all too soon, the pleasure was too much. With a cry, he exploded; his seed splattering onto the cold stonewall. The rippling of the boy's inner muscles was more than Viggo could take. He, too, joined his lover in the land of ecstasy only moments later.
Being more experienced, Viggo quickly recovered from his post-orgasmic high. He was dismayed to find that Orli was out cold. So much for the Priests' plans... but at least, they had given it a try. Not to mention, he was able to know the pleasures of the flesh one last time before he gave his life to defend the city.
Viggo removed his cloak and gently wrapped it around the slumbering dark-haired beauty. Looking at Orlando one last time, he whispered, "May the gods look after you, young one, so you can live to see another day."
*****
Viggo was greeted by two anxious Priests the moment he opened the door. "What happened? Where is Legolas?"
The knight sighed and shook his head. "It didn't work. Orlando's asleep."
"But..."
Before another word was said, the Palace wall collapsed to reveal a dark sorcerer atop his 3-headed dragon. "I am Seiti, the Explosive Sorcerer, fourth in command of the Great Demon Army! Prepare to die, lowly mortals!"
Viggo stepped forward and drew his sword, though he knew it was of no use; he would try to buy the others some time with his life. The two Priests kept an eye on the retreating citizens of Metaricana, building a protective barrier around them with their combined strength.
A lilting voice drifted from the entrance of the guard's chamber. The tone was amused and mocking, and not the least bit frightened. "Tell me, Seiti, do you always speak in exclamation?"
"How dare you mock me?!" exclaimed the dark sorcerer as he commanded his dragon to cast its fire breath on the mysterious speaker.
Viggo stood between the dragon and its prey. He tried to dodge when he saw the blaze, but it was too late. To his surprise, the flames parted as they reached him, scorching the columns on his two sides and leaving him unharmed.
Sensing that his foe was a powerful one, Seiti demanded, "Show yourself!"
A musical laughter reverberated in the halls as a figure stepped out of the shadows. Long straight golden tresses framed a delicately sculpted face. Luminescent sapphire eyes sparkled with mischief as delectable rosy lips curved into a knowing smirk. The newcomer's skin shone like glittering pearls, creamy and perfect. For a second, the unearthly beauty's eyes met with Viggo's and the knight knew: this was Legolas, the demon wizard, in his true form.
The wizard's expression softened as he regarded the knight for a moment longer. Viggo was his future, the one his 'better half' had chosen as his eternal mate. And truth be told, he couldn't have asked for more. Viggo was dashing, noble, and all in all, delicious. He could hardly wait to make love to the knight again; and this time, he would get to experience it first-hand, instead of feeling it from Orli's mind.
A growl from the dragon reminded Legolas that he had pests to take care of before he could enjoy his prize. "Alright, Seiti, why don't you come down here so we can get this over with? I don't have all day."
"I am Seiti, the Explosive Sorcerer! I will crush you where you stand!" the dark sorcerer exclaimed as he urged his dragon forward to step on the newcomer.
"Amateurs," sighed the wizard in distaste before he raised his arm. "Breathe of the earth, come forth. Be my sword and smite my enemy."
Whirlwinds converged upon the wizard's raised arm. As he lowered it, the gales became giant blades, rushing towards the attacking dragon with tremendous force. The monster let out a series of tortured screams as its heads were severed. The beast collapsed in a bloody pile as the heads landed at Legolas' feet with a thundering crash.
Smirking at the dumb-founded dark sorcerer, Legolas said, "You were saying?"
"How dare you kill my beautiful Hydra! You will pay!" exclaimed Seiti as he cast a spell of his own. "Fires of Hell, obey your blood oath to me and come forth. Burn my enemy to cinders!"
Legolas merely laughed as a ring of flames surrounded him. "Children really shouldn't play with fire, you know," he whispered as he held out his hand.
The flames danced and cackled as they gathered into a tiny ghostly-blue fireball and floated to rest atop the demon's palm. Smile never wavering, Legolas said, "Now, let me show you what a real fire spell is." Raising his palm skyward, the demon wizard chanted, "Fires of Hell, heed my voice and come forth from the depths of Hadas. Be my weapon and release your anger. Venom!"
Seiti screamed in disbelief as the stranger cast a spell that only Legolas, the former leader of the Demon Army, had the power to control. But how could this be? The demon wizard perished 26 years ago. The dark sorcerer stared wide-eyed at his foe; the golden youth looked so 'human', nothing like a legendary demon wizard with black wings, claws, fangs and black ancient script tattoos. Yet, there was no denying the boy's powers.
Before another thought could filter through Seiti's brain, a rain of blistering flames fell from the skies to engulf him. For a second, he felt the scorching fires of hell sear his flesh and bones; and then, Seiti the Explosive Sorcerer was no more.

Viggo was too stunned to move. Legolas had saved Metaricana from the Demon Army, though it had once been the demon's own mission to destroy the world of men and cover the lands in shadows. Then suddenly, the knight found himself 'under attack;' guided by instinct, he dropped his sword and held out his arms, catching a very affectionate armful of Legolas.
Kissing Viggo's stubbly cheek with a loud smack, the wizard enthused, "Oh, Lord Viggo, you are so manly standing up to that ugly Hydra. I got so excited from just looking at you." The blond demon proceeded to rub his hard length against the knight, making certain Viggo knew his desires.
Viggo wasn't quite sure how to respond; it would probably be suicidal to push the wizard away. But after the demon's display of power, he was exceptionally uncomfortable with holding Legolas so close. Luckily, Priest Ian and Priest Christopher came to the knight's rescue. "We thank you, great Legolas, for your help against Seiti," the old men said as they bowed.
"Just don't count on it happening again, Priests. You gave me this wonderful new body when you sealed me inside Orli; and now, I've saved your city in exchange. Now, we are even," replied Legolas as he reluctantly let go of Viggo to face the Priests.
"But please, great Legolas, Metaricana needs you," pleaded the two old men, knowing the wizard was the only chance civilization had against Abigail the Necromancer and the Demon Army.
"Even sweet Orli, who's the *better* half of us, couldn't care less about the city, why should I?" asked Legolas with a devious smile, realizing that this was a perfect opportunity to force Viggo to bound himself to him and Orli as a permanent lover.
Princess Liv, the object of the knight's secret affections, glided onto the scene of carnage against her guards' advice. With her sweet lilting voice, she offered, "Please, great wizard, on behalf of my father, I promise you any treasure you wish, if you will lend us your strength."
"There is only one thing Orli and I want, Princess, and it's not something you can give," replied Legolas as he cast a meaningful glance at the knight.
Viggo sighed, knowing his fate was sealed. His sword could not protect the people or his Princess. He would offer himself to Legolas, if that were what was necessary to secure the wizard's assistance. "I will pledge my heart to you, Legolas, if you will be Metaricana's champion."
Legolas grinned as he took the knight's hand. "Very well, Lord Viggo. I will accept your offer. I will serve your city as long as you serve only Orli and me."
Raising their joined hands to his lips, Viggo forced away his distaste and kissed the demon's hand. The crowds erupted into cheers as the contact was made; they knew their city would now be safer against Abigail's ambition with Legolas as their champion.
The knight sighed. He could only hope the wizard would be able to protect those he valued and loved. Nothing less would be worth the sacrifice of his body and his dreams of winning the Princess' heart. Legolas smiled as he sensed Viggo's dark thoughts; he truly looked forward to changing the man's perspective. It would be a fun challenge, stealing Viggo's heart for his and Orli's own.
