Summary: Elrond tries to help his children
*****
Elrond stood in the doorway watching his children sleep. In one bed, Elrohir and Elladan laid on either side of their little sister, their arms resting protectively over her. He had found them this way so many times since Celebrian had sailed. It was as if they feared losing her as they had lost their mother.
Quietly he walked towards the bed. With gentle hands, he woke them. Their eyes were red from crying and puffy from sleep. He gathered Arwen into his arms and motioned the twins to follow. Elrond led them through the hallways of Imladris until they arrived at his private chambers. He took them through the door as his daughter nuzzled her head under his chin with a sigh.
Finally, he stopped at the edge of the balcony. The view overlooked many of the waterfalls throughout Imladris. Three right here close to the Last Homely House. Anor was just rising and the water sparkled in the early morning. A soft gasp escaped Arwen and she lifted her head.
“So pwetty,” she murmured.
“Why did you bring us here Ada,” Elladan asked as he looked at his father.
“It’s beautiful,” Elrohir whispered.
“Look Elladan,” Elrond said, squatting down to look into his son’s eyes. The older of the twins turned and looked out over the valley. His eyes widened and he started counting the rainbows dancing at the bases of the waterfalls.
“Though it does not seem like it,” Elrond said to his children, “There is always hope. A new day waits, and new adventures are waiting to be had. I wish you to always see the light. When you feel so very sad, look to each other, to the love we have and the friends that surround us and let your hearts be lifted. Know that I will always love you, my children, always. The rainbow, it always appears after the rain.”

Summary: All's fair in love and war.

Elrond leaned back letting out a sigh of relief. Earlier in the day, Erestor had kicked him out of the library with a firm command not to return to the house until it was dark. With that in mind, the Lord of Imladris had walked down to the Bruinen.
He settled in a comfortable position and enjoyed the warmth of Anor's rays. Too often, he was locked within his study answering correspondence or just daily paperwork. When he'd broken the third quill, Erestor had had enough.
"OUT!" he'd shouted, placing his hands on slender hips and glaring at Elrond.
"What?" Elrond had looked at him, dumbfounded.
"Get out, Elrond," Erestor had ordered. "You have been pushing yourself to the brink and I will not stand for it. I do not want to see you within these halls until Anor sets or, so help me, I will sic Glorfindel on you!"
So Elrond found himself kicked out of his own home. He chuckled. Erestor truly did care and he had never seen the councilor lose his composure long enough to shout.
As he mulled over the day's events, his ears twitched. The snap of a twig, rustle of leaves and a rather loud "SSSSSHHHHHH!" followed by giggles. A smile quirked his lips. Shifting position, he prepared himself.
"CHARGE!" came a very feminine voice.
His attackers burst from the bushes. They charged en masse, having forgotten their Ada's skill in battle. Deftly he twisted and all three went sailing into the water. Elrond let out a deep belly laugh as Arwen, Elladan and Elrohir rose from the water, sputtering and shaking their wet locks out of their faces.
" Ada!" Arwen yelled.
"No fair!" the twins shouted in unison.
"All is fair in love and war, pin dithen (little ones)," Elrond laughed.
"Precisely," Glorfindel whispered in his ear before the Balrog Slayer sent his lord flying out over the river to create a great wave as he splashed into it. Elrond rose to the surface and sent his seneschal a mock glare.
"It worked!" the Elflings called happily, "Just like you said, Glory!"
"Of course it did." Glorfindel smiled smugly.

Summary: Legolas leaves his mark on the Lord of Imladris.
*****
Elrond laughed as he watched his sons splashing through the water of the Bruinen. Legolas laughed with them as he dunked Elladan. Though they were all a few short years from their majority, they still acted like elflings every now and then. It lightened his heart to see it. The twins had been so dark since Celebrian had sailed.
“Join us, Ada!” Elrohir called.
“Yes,” Elladan agreed just before he pulled his twin under the water. Legolas looked at the Lord of Imladris and smirked. There was a sparkle in his eye that made Elrond shiver.
“You should, you know,” Erestor smiled as he watched them all. He sat with his back against a tree, a book on his lap. That was Erestor for you. He forever had something to read with him.
Elrond smiled once more and pulled his tunic over his head. He tossed it to one side and unlaced his leggings. Pushing them down his hips, he kicked them off and took a step towards the water.
“Elrond?” Erestor called curiosity in his voice. “You have a mark on your thigh.”
“What?” Elrond paused, trying to look.
“A mark,“ Erestor moved a bit closer, looking on the red mark that resided just under Elrond’s right buttock and a bit towards the inside. “It looks like… A bite mark.”
Elrond straightened abruptly. His eyes shot to the Prince as he stood waist deep in the water. The smirk was firmly in place. Elrond raised the infamous eyebrow at his lover. The cheeky elf merely winked at him. How in the world was he going to explain this? Erestor was not one to give up until he was satisfied with the answer he received.
“Perhaps you should tell Legolas not to be so… enthusiastic,” Erestor chuckled as he returned to his book.
Elrond shot the Greenwood prince a look that promised retribution. The Prince’s expression said he was looking forward to it.

Summary: A question and an answer.
*****
Haldir watched him move through the forests of Lothlórien. Slipping through the trees, he trailed him as the other elf walked along the ground. It was clear his target was deep in thought if he didn't hear or even feel someone following him.
When they reached a secluded pool, Haldir settled down for a long wait.
"You might as well come down," the lilting voice called up to him.
Haldir looked surprised for a moment and then dropped to the ground beside the other elf. He studied him for a moment and then sat down next to him, his back to the same mallorn tree.
"You are sad, meldir (m. friend)," Haldir said, looking at his companion.
"Yes, I leave tomorrow and there was something I wanted but will not be able to have," Legolas said softly.
"May I ask you a question?" Haldir said.
"Of course," the prince answered.
"What is it you want?" Haldir reached out and lifted his chin until he could look into those clear cerulean eyes.
"You," came the whispered reply.
"Then you shall have me," Haldir answered as he leaned forward. Slowly his lips caressed Legolas'. "Because I have wanted you since the moment I laid eyes upon your ethereal face."
"So dreams do come true," Legolas sighed and Haldir laid him down in the grass.
"Yes, they do."

Galadriel walked into the kitchens and stopped, frozen in her tracks. She could not help the laughter that bubbled from deep within her.
“Pen neth (Young one)?” she asked as she approached the fire. “What are you doing?”
“I am making your breakfast, Nana (Mama)?” Haldir smiled brightly. “It is almost ready.”
She put her hand over her mouth and nose, stifling the mirth as she watched her son, clad in a frilly apron, pick up a spoon and a cloth. He carefully placed the cloth over the handle on the lid of the pot and lifted.
“Would you like a taste?” he asked sweetly.
The lady of light leaned over and nearly drew back sharply. Only her diplomacy and control saved her. The dark water boiled, and there was a hideous stench.
“Oh,” she began. “I think I shall wait until your Ada (Daddy) arrives so that I may share it with him.”
“Share what?” Celeborn said as he entered the room. “By the Valar what is that… smell.”
“Haldir has cooked breakfast for us,” she smiled. /”And you will eat every bit placed in front of you, just as I.”/
“How very clever and good of you Haldir,” he said hugging his son.
Haldir beamed, his blue eyes twinkling happily and his smile blinding. It made every bite worth it.

Author's Notes: Okay this is a bit of Drabble I guess. I wrote it when Jana told me about the daily drabble earlier today and what it was. Hope you enjoy. It will also be posted to my Journal.
Summary: A first for Glorfindel.
*****
Today was a special day. Today, Lord Glorfindel Lord of the House of the Golden Flower and seneschal of Imladris had reigned victorious on the field of battle. In other words, he'd FINALLY beaten Erestor at a game of chess. Plenty had been riding on the match as well. One day as a servant to the councilor seemed like torture to him. Erestor spent all his days inside while Glorfindel was always out and about. The seneschal could only be inside for a short while before he began to fidget.
Now he waited for Erestor to come to him, arrayed as Glorfindel had commanded. He actually giggled at the image that popped into his head. Actually, it was more of tortured moan. Erestor had been the star of his nighttime fantasies for such a long time. When he had named his reward, he was sure Erestor would balk. Yet, the chief advisor had surprised him by agreeing.
He was staring at the windows into the night sky when the door behind him opened. Glorfindel turned around to greet his visitor and stopped dead in his tracks. His mouth dropped open and his body hardened in an instant.
Standing before him, his hair intricately plaited in many braids, his cream colored skin covered in strategic places by ribbons, was Erestor, Chief Advisor of Imladris. Glorfindel's eyes wandered hungrily over his flesh, aching to remove the ribbons and claim what was beneath.
"I am here as you commanded, Híren," Erestor said proudly, "Gilded in silver."

Summary: Erestor goes searching for an errant child.
*****
"Where could he be?" Erestor demanded his hands on his hips as he stared at the two ellyn (m. pl. elves) in front of him. Elladan and Elrohir stood with their hands behind their backs, shaking their heads.
"We don't know, Erestor," they said in unison, "We haven't seen him since before weapons practice this morning. Maybe Arwen has."
Erestor sighed softly and left the room. He found the Lady Arwen in the kitchen with the cook, nibbling on a warm apple pastry, her favorite. She chatted pleasantly as she ate the treat.
"Arwen, have you seen Estel?" he questioned as he snagged a pastry for himself.
"No, Erestor. Have you checked with Ada?" she said, her brows furrowing in thought, much like her father's did.
"He was the first person I checked with," Erestor said, becoming more worried by the moment, "I cannot find him anywhere and it is time for his lessons."
"Perhaps Glory has seen him," she suggested, "I will look in his usual hiding places. You know how he hates being cooped up inside."
"I haven't seen Glorfindel either," Erestor sighed; his erstwhile lover had been missing since this morning. He had left their bed without a word, only a light brush of lips upon his Erestor's forehead before he slipped out the door.
They left the kitchen, Arwen heading in one direction and Erestor heading in the other. Glorfindel often enjoyed spending time with the horses so the councilor headed to the stables. The first thing he noticed was that Asfaloth was not in his stall. Glorfindel had not mentioned having to be on patrol nor being sent from Imladris on a mission. Erestor frowned then approached one of the grooms.
"How may I help you, Híren (my Lord)?" the groom said politely.
"Have you seen Lord Glorfindel?" Erestor questioned.
"Yes, Híren," the groom answered, "He and young Estel rode out early this morning towards the Bruinen."
"Thank you." Erestor said.
He walked out of the stable. A trip to the Bruinen could be done on foot. It was not a long walk. Yet, Glorfindel had decided to take Estel on horseback. Why would the seneschal do that? He knew that Estel took lessons with Erestor at this time every day. It did not make sense. What had gotten into the golden elf? As he walked towards the river, he became more and more angry.
As he reached the water, a bright giggle sailed through the air followed by a loud splash and the rich belly laugh of his beloved. Erestor stepped onto the shore and caught his breath. Glorfindel stood in the water, just a few inches over being bared to the world. The sunlight flowed over him like a caress and it simply astounded Erestor. However, what stole his heart was seeing him pick up Estel and cuddle the small child against his bare chest. A single tear slipped down the councilor's cheek at the beautiful sight. Now he didn't have the heart to yell at them.
"Uh oh, Estel," Glorfindel whispered loudly, his sapphire eyes traveling hotly over his lover, "I think our hiding place has been discovered.
"E'esto... come hide wit' us!" Estel giggled loudly. "Again, Fin, again."
With another chuckle, Glorfindel tossed Estel high into the air and let him splash into the water. His skin shivered as he felt the long elegant fingers of his lover slide up his back and then down to wrap around his waist. They watched as the child swam back towards them.
"Hiding, hm?" Erestor said, raising an eyebrow.
"Um hm," Glorfindel smiled cheekily, "And if you let us stay here awhile longer, I promise to hide something later in our chambers."
"Glorfindel, are you bribing me with the promise of sex?" Erestor said with a look of shock.
"Oh no, meleth (love), I promise... " he leaned in closer to whisper in Erestor's ear, "I promise to give you so much pleasure you can't walk straight for the next three days."
"Yes," Erestor moaned.
"Again, Fin, again," Estel interrupted, oblivious of the tension between the two adults. With a wink and a light kiss on the nose, he picked the child up and tossed him out into the water.
"You are a wicked elf, Glorfindel," Erestor growled.
"Yes, but you love me anyway," Glorfindel grinned.

Summary: Haldir eavesdrops on a saddened elf.
*****
Haldir sat, entranced by the music coming from the balcony below where he sat, snuggly in the branch of a mallorn tree. Every night since the white haired beauty had arrived, Haldir found himself in this tree, listening to music so touching and sad it made his heart ache. When he had met the party from Imladris, the minstrel had caught him.
He never failed to note the elf's presence. Haldir knew when Lindir was coming closer. He knew when the minstrel had an unpleasant day. He just knew and it was shaking Haldir's foundation. Even talks with Celeborn and Galadriel, his adopted parents, didn't help settle his soul.
The music slowly faded, traveling out into the night as the stars sparkled overhead. Haldir felt the tears; drawn by the sorrow in Lindir's song, fall down his face.
"Ah, Lindir, you are a master of music," he whispered, "Now I fear you are also master of my heart."

Author's Notes: Don't know if mallorn trees are supposed to have flowers. This one does * grin *
Summary: Haldir sets his sights on something far above him.
*****
Slipping away to the tree, Haldir slowly scaled the almost smooth trunk. His bare toes and fingers finding minute grooves to help him on his way. His eyes, pale silver/blue, never left his target. He had a single-minded determination.
Finally, he reached the branch he wanted. Easing along its length, his fingers stretched out for the object of his obsession. Almost there, almost had it. There was an ominous creak. Haldir froze, looking back at the trunk of the great mallorn. Then his eyes shot back to his target. Just an inch more and he would get it, just one more inch. He stretched, reaching out.
The snap was loud in the still summer air.
"HALDIR!" Galadriel screamed, rushing forward and catching the elfling before he could hit the ground, tumbling and curling her body around his. Branches and leaves rained down upon them.
Slowly Haldir opened his eyes to stare into Galadriel's eyes. What he saw there made him shiver in dread. Never had he seen her look so angry and frightened.
"Haldir, what in the world," she stopped as he opened his tiny little hands to reveal the perfect blossom of palest pink and gold.
"I wan'ed dis, nana (mama)," Haldir said slowly. "Is pwetty... like you."
Tears glistened in the Lady of Light's eyes as her adopted son put the flower in her golden hair. Hugging him close, she let him feel all of her love and none of the terror she had felt seeing him fall.
"Hannon le, pen dithen (Thank you, little one)," she whispered.
"Mela le (I love you), nana," Haldir giggled, his fear entirely forgotten in the face of his mother's love.
Later that evening, Galadriel took the flower from her hair, and set it in a small vase on her nightstand. She stared at it as she brushed the long golden strands.
"Where did you find such a thing, Gûren (my Heart)?" Celeborn questioned as he followed her gaze.
"Haldir," she said, tears welling as she remembered. "He climbed one of the mellyrn to get it for me."
The Lord of Lothlorien chuckled softly. Moving to stand behind her, he laid a kiss upon the crown of her head.
"All that is gold does not glitter," he whispered. "Haldir's love shines in the gilded petals of that flower."
"Would that all creatures loved as simply as a child," she whispered.

Summary: Glorfindel convinces Erestor to stay with him in a most interesting way.
*****
Erestor slowly shifted, trying not to wake the sleeping elf next to him. It was on rare occasions that he could slip from beneath Glorfindel’s arm and rise without a full out war raged on his senses. Glorfindel could be both charming and persistent in his wants and desires. Unfortunately, they had gone over the two weeks Elrond had granted them for their honeymoon. A smile graced his lips. The Balrog Slayer was finally his and there was no one else he wanted to belong too.
“Um, come back to bed,” Glorfindel mumbled as he tightened his hold on his mate.
“Come back? Meleth (Love), I have not even been out of bed yet,” Erestor chuckled as Glorfindel made sleepy noises.
“Then stay,” Glorfindel murmured as he nuzzled Erestor’s bare hip, licking down to the dimples at the base of his spine just above his tempting round buttocks.
“We have stayed three days longer than Elrond gave us leave for,” Erestor said with a soft gasp. Glorfindel’s tongue was dancing along the upper swell of his ass and it drove rational thought from his mind. He parted his thighs in answer to Glorfindel’s silent request.
Still slick from their earlier loving, Glorfindel slid easily inside his husband, pressing deep and moaning in satisfaction. That incredible feeling of being whole enveloped him. A shudder racked Erestor’s body and he smiled. Leaning down he nuzzled his beloved’s neck.
“Our bed is so much more pleasurable than the libraries or your office, A’maelamin (My beloved),” he purred, “Consider this bed your office for the next eleven days.”
“I… Mmm… I cannot Glorfindel,” Erestor moaned, pushing up into his husband’s slow thrusts, “Elrond… Two weeks… “
“I asked him for an extension,” Glorfindel licked at the nape of his neck, “And he said yes. I have you all to myself for another two weeks, gûren (my heart). You are mine.”
“For eternity, melethen (my love),” Erestor moaned, surrendering to the incredibly seductive powers of his husband with no real problem.

Characters: Karl/Orlando
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Alas none of them are mine and I don't make any money off them. But I DO enjoy playing with them.
Author's Notes: Okay this is a real person fic. Its my first. I hope this is alright. I was reading Anorienbean's fics and this just popped in my head when I saw one of her pics of Karl Urban. I've always pictured him as the silent brooding type. I know nothing about him except that he's INCREDIBLY gorgeous in my humble opinion. So here it goes. I know its not LOTR but I drew a blank on 'shy' for my elves. They just simply AREN'T shy LOL
Summary: Karl gets a push in the right direction
*****
Why was he here? Karl had been asking himself that question since he’d stepped through the door of Sean’s apartment. It was a party not something he usually took part in. Yet here he was, nursing a beer as he watched the rest of his co-workers get completely trashed.
As he asked his question for the thousandth time, he spotted the reason he had deviated from his usual routine. A mass of curls spilled around his shoulders as Orlando shook his head, denying something Billy had said. He gestured wildly with his beer bottle, his arms going akimbo. Karl chuckled to himself.
“You ought to go talk to him,” Viggo said quietly from beside him.
Karl shook his head as he watched Orlando jump up on the table. The others started to cheer and roar with laughter as the young man began to mimic one of their other co-workers with incredibly accuracy.
“Karl, take a chance,” the yank chuckled as he watched Karl adjust himself, his eyes never leaving Orlando.
The young man jumped off the table, placing him between Karl, Viggo and the rest of the table. The talk had taken a ribald turn. Karl took a step forward and then stopped. Just as Orlando spun, Karl felt a hard shove at his back and he collided with the other man. They caught each other and heat flared through Karl’s body. He stiffened as Orlando purred in his ear.
“I was wondering when you were going to stop being so shy.”

“My turn, my turn,” Rúmil giggled again as he stretched out on top of his Adar. “I see… puppies!”
“You always see puppies Rúmil,” Haldir chuckled.
“Well what you see Hal?” his youngest brother asked.
“I see the shapes of Men and of horse,” Haldir said as he looked up at the fluffy white clouds rolling across the sky.

Author's Notes: This was SUPPOSED to be a happy little ficlet. But once Arwen opened her mouth, I could not shut her up. She's SO like Galadriel! LOL
Summary: Healing begins with the laughter of the youngest Peredhel.
*****
Roars of laughter and high-pitched giggles could be heard from the library. Elladan looked at his brother, raising one eyebrow in perfect imitation of their father. With a nod of agreement, the two elves opened the doors. What lay before them made their eyes widen and their mouths drop open in surprise.
Elrond looked up at the opening of the door. His daughter, Arwen, sprawled across him her little fingers dancing over his sides and making him laugh.
“What in the world are you doing?” Elladan demanded being the more vocal of the two twins.
“Well, what does it look like?” Elrond asked as he caught Arwen’s wrists. “It is Tickle Time. I am playing with your sister. Something you two have been neglecting for weeks.”
“It is okay, Ada (Papa),” Arwen said as she propped her bony chin on his stomach. “They are always so cranky that they are no fun to play with anyway. I would much rather play with you… or Lord Erestor.”
“Erestor is…“ Elladan began in shock.
“More fun than us?” Elrohir finished, looking hurt.
“Definitely,” Arwen said, hopping up to sit primly on her father’s chest. “He reads to me, draws with me, and lets me make all sorts of pictures with my finger paints. He does not even yell if I happen to make a mess. Not like YOU two, always so grumpy.”
“You would not understand the reason for it,” Elladan growled.
“Oh, yes I DO!” Arwen shot back. “You are mad because Nana left and you miss her so very much. Well, I miss her too! And all I want is my brothers to play with me and laugh with me because it makes the hurt not so bad. But you are too busy being cranky and selfish to think about how anyone else feels. Like Ada and me. So, go on. We do not need you to play with us! We can be happy on our own and you two can go on being grumpy, angry, and killing orcs. It is all you care about anymore anyway.”
“That is enough Arwen,” Elrond said softly as he sat up and gathered his daughter into his arms. The tears flowed silently down her face as she buried it against his chest. He rocked her as he looked at his sons. “Each of us must deal with our grief in our own way. Yet, we must never forget that we are not alone in our sorrow. Your Naneth (Mother) was loved by all and we all miss her greatly.”
“But Ada,” Arwen sobbed. “It is like I have lost them too!”
“We are so sorry,” the twins sobbed softly as they grasped each other’s hand, seeking comfort.
Elrond looked at his sons and then opened one arm, the other still being wrapped around his daughter. Immediately they were in his arms. He held his children and let them cry their grief, whispering soft soothing words to them.
The twins were passed their majority and they were strong ellyn (m. pl. elf) in their own right. Yet, they were still his sons and every so often, they needed their Ada. It seemed as if their tears went on forever and it broke his heart. He loved his wife very much and he missed her, but he could understand why she needed to leave. It was so much harder for their children to comprehend. He hugged them close and dreaded the time that comes in every parent’s life when he would have to let them go.
As he was about to lose himself in his musings, a tiny finger poked his side. He looked down at Arwen and saw her watery smile. She glanced at her brothers and then back to him. The smile became a little bit wicked and he could not help but return it.
The next thing twins knew they were lying flat on their backs. Arwen sat on Elrohir’s chest and tickled his sides unmercifully while her father did the same to Elladan. Roars of laughter and little child giggles once again filled the hall. , Now they were joined by the rich tones of the twins.
Erestor leaned back against Glorfindel as they watched from the doorway. It did his heart good to see the Peredhil (pl. half-Elf) cavorting on the floor in front of the fireplace. Strong arms wrapped around him and he sighed.
“They are healing,” Erestor said softly.
“Aye,” Glorfindel said. “They are.”

"Stop," the voice panted. "Its too much."
"Are you sure, meleth (love)?" Haldir smiled as he lifted his head. He gave the straining shaft before his mouth a languorous lick from base to top.
"Don't stop," came the whimpered reply.
Haldir lowered his head once more, bringing his partner to that very edge before he withdrew him mouth completely.
"No!" his lover protested.
With a wicked smile, he flipped the lithe body over and parted the taut thighs wide.
"Stop."
"Positive?" Haldir whispered into a delicately pointed ear, nibbling on the tip as he pressed the head of his cock against the already slick opening.
"Don't stop... " a low moan followed as Haldir slid deep inside his love.
"Ah, yes," Haldir moaned as the tight channel wrapped around him. He set up a leisurely pace designed to drive the sweet elf below him to distraction. Moans and pants, whimpers and cries of pleasure were his reward as he pushed his lover up and over the edge of pleasure. He held himself back; gritting his teeth to make sure his partner reached his satisfaction first.
"HALDIR!" he cried hoarsely.
"Yes, Ernilen (my Prince), come for me," he purred, clasping his teeth around the pale shoulder muscle below him. His love screamed his pleasure and Haldir let himself go. Faster and faster he moved, striking the sweet spot repeatedly to keep his partner with him. A loud groan and the tensing of every muscle in his body signaled his release. He collapsed on top of him, wrapping his arms around the slender shoulders.
"Hannon le (Thank you), Haldir," his lover whispered as he rolled them over to rest side by side on Haldir's bed.
"You are most welcome, Legolas," the March Warden purred, "It was most definitely my pleasure.
"As long as you never stop loving me, it will always be OUR pleasure," Legolas said sleepily, pillowing his head on Haldir's shoulder, "Amin mela lle (I love you), Haldir."
"Amin mela lle, Legolas, Ernilen."
