He stared down at the ellon (m. elf) lying next to him. Long elegant fingers brushed a strand of silken hair from his cheek, tucking it behind one delicately pointed ear. He remembered the fear that had gripped him. He remembered the horrible thought of spending the rest of eternity alone and it chilled him to the bone. He had felt this emptiness before and it terrified him.
Then this elf had come into his life. Stepped out of the shadows and brought him peace once more. He had fought his attraction tooth and nail, feeling that it was somehow a betrayal. However, this elegant creature had persisted. Nothing said or done had deterred him from his goal.
“You should rest,” his soft voice whispered. “You cannot yet be fully recovered.”
“It is your love that lends me strength,” he whispered as he took those sweet lips in a searing kiss. “As long as you love me, I can do or face anything.”
“I have never been so scared in all my centuries as I was this night,” Erestor whispered as he looked up into Elrond’s storm gray eyes. “I thought I would lose you.”
“Never,” Elrond swore as he pulled his lover into his embrace. “I am a slave to my heart and you hold it firmly in your hands, meleth nín (my love).”
“You were so cold at one point… and then steaming… I was so frightened, gil nín (my star),” Erestor sobbed as he pressed his face against Elrond’s neck.
“Then let me ease your fears,” the lord answered as he pressed his love back into their mattress. Slowly he kissed his tears away murmuring soft words of love and devotion. Slowly he worked his way down Erestor’s body, nipping and licking, teasing his lover until the tears stopped and the moans of pleasure started.
He paused at the councilor’s navel, slowly circling the tiny opening with his tongue. Elrond loved the way his stomach muscles quivered when he did so. He could feel Erestor’s erection pressing against him. Continuing his journey, he gently kissed the head, soft butterfly kisses meant to tease. Smiling, he let his tongue slide out and swirl over the tip as Erestor’s fingers buried in his dark hair.
“Elrond,” the councilor panted as he tried to lift his hips.
“Let me love you, bellas nín (my strength),” he whispered against the aching shaft bumping his lips. “Let me show you how much I love you.”
“Saes, gûren (Please, my heart),” Erestor moaned, “Saes.”
Elrond slowly took him deep within his mouth, flicking his tongue along the sensitive flesh as he did so. He swirled his fingers over Erestor’s hips, stroking his skin as he gently sucked on him. He took his time, never rushing though his lover pleaded with him.
Minutes seemed like hours as his body rose along the peaks of desire. He wanted Elrond deep within him, but words failed as the sensations his lover swirled within him swamped his ability to think. This was where he belonged.
Long into the night Elrond drove him to the brink of pleasure only to draw him back again. The peredhel made his body sing and his soul soar. However, he would not fly alone.
Their bodies joined as one, they sought the heights together, whispering their love reverently even as their bodies moved frantically. In that perfect moment, Elrond entwined their fingers. He stared into Erestor’s ebony gaze as the councilor locked his legs around his hips.
“ Melithon chen uireb (I will love you forever), Erestor, bellas nín,” he whispered.
“ Melin chen (I love you), Elrond, gil nín,” Erestor responded.
Long into the night, love reigned in the Last Homely house. From the chambers of her lord, to the rooms of her most exalted guests, the very act of love carried with it all the sweetness and all the hope of every child of Ilúvatar.
Anór’s light saw a pile of bodies. Haldir draped in the bodies of his lord and lady. Glorfindel held Legolas so tightly there was not even room for air to pass between them. And in the chambers of Lord Elrond a heart, broken by the loss of a first love and a cherished wife, was made whole once more.
