Elladan and Elrohir went back to the fields. "Why don't we dismiss the students." Elrohir said. "I won't wait for Adar to come get us."

"I agree. He's our brother!" Elladan exclaimed.

They told the students that something came up. The twins dismissed them and returned to the Healing Houses. They entered the waiting room and waited.

One assistant entered the room with warm water and a few minutes later came out with the pail. It emitted a foul odor and some in the waiting room turned their noses up at the stench. A little later the head healer came out and said that they could come back in.

"I have done everything I could. but I don't know what is wrong with him. He needs rest. I gave him an herbal sedative. The pain is going to wear out his body. Master Elrond, could you see what is causing it now that I have stopped the convulsions?"

Master Elrond sat on the edge of the bed and placed his hand in mid air over his son's body. Closing his eyes, he traced his hand up and down. He looked at his sons and then the healer.

"I don't know." This puzzled the group that had up gathered around the bed. "I have never encountered this before. It seems like something from his heritage is doing this. I have fostered each and every one of the sons of Isildur and have never encountered this before." He got up from the bed and went to the window. He turned and said, "I think I know someone who can tell me what this is."

Elrond stared out of the window his eyes unfocused for several minutes. Turning back to his sons, he said, "Lord Glorfindel may know what to do."

Elladan pursed his lips and looked skeptically at his father. "He is the Balrog Slayer, but you are our best healer. What can he do? He is good under arms, but I see nothing here to slay."

"He was in Mandos more recently than any other person here," Elrohir answered him, his eyes lighting up eagerly, "We do not know why only Glorfindel, of all the elves who have been to Mandos, was allowed to come back to Middle-earth. Father? Do you think, perhaps...?"

Elrond held up his hand to stem the questions. "It may have been for this reason. We shall see. I have spoken to Glorfindel in Lothlórien and he will be here as soon as he can." He added to himself, 'I hope Estel can hold on that long.'

Elrond went back to the window and looked out over the garden. Remembering that Estel's coming of age was next month! At the thought, Elrond turned around and looked at the young man in the bed, musing, 'I wonder?'

Estel felt something trickling down his throat and his body began to relax. Vaguely, he felt his legs being straightened out in a warm bed and a blanket pulled up to his chest.

He saw a garden studded with trees, an elf leaning against one with his arms crossed. His long blond hair was braided at the sides and pulled back, away from his flawless face. In his sea blue tunic, he looked like royalty. The beauty and majesty of this elf overwhelmed him!

Did he dream this elf? The warmth that came to his face made him flush. Estel knew that the elf would become someone important in his life.

But there was something wrong with this picture. Estel did not have foresight! Or did he?

'Was this what foresight was like?' he wondered.

But at the sight of this elf, Estel's feet took on a life of their own. He had to see what this elf looked like up close. He walked across the field not taking his eyes off the beautiful elf. He took off his white tunic and lay down on the blanket. He propped himself up on his left arm, crossed his feet at the ankles and patted the blanket. As he lay naked, unbearable warmth crept up Estel's loins. But this elf felt like no stranger. It seemed as if he had known this elf his whole life.
