On the horse's back Gildor smiled and listened while Lindir sang softly on the way to his new home. - Eyes On Me
Imladris, the Last Homely House, was the new place for Lindir. He met Gildor Inglorion in a tavern almost a year ago where he was working and living. Because of Gildor, he had a chance to get out of that mortal place and start his new life in Imladris with Gildor, his lover.
In the backyard garden
Today's weather was extremely fine. Lindir sang freely while he walked on the path which led to the Garden. He was quite familiar most of the paths in the House after being shown around by different elves and Gildor himself. He always walked with Lindir around the House when he was free. Gildor just couldn't leave his adorable lover alone since he met his song bird. Lindir always smiled when he though of his golden haired warrior. Suddenly, he heard his name being called.
"Lindir, here!" Merileth, the maiden, waved to him.
"Good morning, Merileth." Lindir bowed.
"Good morning." Merileth replied with the same gesture.
"What are they for?" Lindir asked when he pointed at some decorations on the tree.
"Those?" Merileth smiled. "Those are for an Easter Party tomorrow." She explained.
"Easter Party?" Lindir cocked his head. "Easter? What is it about?" He asked with enthusiasm.
"Oh dear," The maiden held his hand and pulled him sat down on the stone bench and started to explain to him.
"It sounds fun." Lindir showed his excitement.
"Yes, it is." Merileth smiled at the young elf lord.
"Thank you for telling me about that" Lindir bowed. "I think I have bothered you long enough. I should leave you for work." He stood up and smoothed his robe.
"Not at all," Merileth waved her hands, "and nice to talk with you."
"I enjoyed it too." Lindir bowed again and left.
Inside the House
Lindir was humming and greeting everyone he met on his way. Unwittingly, he found himself in front of the library door. 'Library. It's a good place to visit.' He talked to himself, opened the door and walked in. Today, the library was amazingly quiet. Nobody heels was there. He walked toward the shelf where the collection of sheet music was kept. That was his favourite. He took some of the sheet music and found a bench near the open window. A very fresh breeze and warm sunlight came through the window. He sat down and started to read the parchments in his hand. Unexpectedly, he heard the sound of a door opening. He lifted his head and looked at the doorway. His eyes widened when he saw Gildor walking toward him. He stood up and greeted his lover after he put down the sheets on the bench.
"Gildor," Lindir gave him a hug. "It's good to see you. Finished your patrol?"
"Yes, just come back from the border." Gildor replied and gave the musician an embrace. "And I came to you first thing."
"How did you know I was here?" Lindir sounded confused.
"I saw you through the window," Gildor pointed to the window. "I recognized your beautiful hair." He fingers were playing the others hair when he smiled at Lindir.
"Oh!" Lindir exclaimed with a flush on his face.
"Am I not welcome?" Gildor teased.
"No, of course not." The silver haired elf replied with smile.
"Oh, yes," Gildor said swiftly. "Lindir, turn around please." He pushed the others shoulders and now Lindir's back was to him.
"Here." Gildor held up Lindir's hand once he was turned around and a colored egg was placed in it. "Happy Easter, love."
"Gildor..." Lindir lost his words when a breeze came from the window.
"This is the first Easter you have here."
"Is it an Easter Egg?"
"Yes," Gildor felt surprised. "How do you know about this?"
"Merileth told me when I met her in the Garden." Lindir explained with smile. "She also told me all about Easter egg. It is made of chocolate and it is one of the special things for Easter." He sounded like an elfling.
"Indeed." Gildor giggled. "Do you like this?"
"Very much, thank you." Lindir turned around and gave his beloved a big hug.
They embraced and kissed each other while a soft breeze came from the window again.
