Summary: Daeron left Doriath with regret.

Bravely, he turned to face them. All of the elves of Doriath placed angry eyes on Daeron, who couldn't get their beloved princess, Lúthein, back to Menegroth. Thingol was the only one who nodded to Daeron and said a word. "Come with me, Daeron."

Daeron said nothing but nodded at the instruction. Both of them went inside Elwé's sleeping chamber. Daeron closed the door and walked behind Thingol. Suddenly, Thingol stopped and turned around, Daeron was in his tight embrace immediately. They felt in silence.

"Are you not punishing me?" Daeron broke the silence.

"How could I punish you, my love?"

"But I couldn't get her back." The minstrel said with his musical but sad voice.

"I know you did the best you could." Thingol placed his lips on the other's after he reassured Daeron with his words.

"My king," Daeron moaned. "Thingol." He spoke the name softly when a hand sneaked under his tunic and nipped his nipple.

Elwé left his lips and his hand. Then he whispered to Daeron, took off his clothes and laid him on his stomach on the desk. The King took him from the back forcefully.

At all night, Thingol took him countless times on his bed, sometimes rough and sometimes gentle. Thingol slept quietly after their love making but Daeron didn't. He sat next to his sleeping lord and deep in his thought until Anor greeted the Earth.

Next morning, Thingol found no sign of Daeron but a letter on his desk. Daeron was gone. He left Doriath with regret that he failed his lover. He lamented for himself and wandered around the Middle Earth.

Despite that the elves in Doriath said that he fell in love with Lúthein but betrayed her, his heart was given to Thingol and loyal to him only.
