Erestor stood on the White Shore waiting his soul mate, Glorfindel. Day after day, he still didn't see any sign of his golden haired lover. A breeze came from the sea and blew on his face. He closed his eyes and lifted his head. A memory flashed in his mind.

"What do you say?" Erestor shouted out loud in the sleeping chamber which he shared with Glorfindel.
"I have to stay." Glorfindel repeated. "I can't leave without the Twins. I gave my word to Eärendil to protect his family. And the Twins are part of his family." Glorfindel explained.
"But you said you would sail with me."
"Yes, but at that time I didn't know the Twins would choose to stay." Glorfindel placed his hands on the other shoulders and a kiss on the lips and continues. "I'm sorry."
Both of them said nothing but stood next to the bed and silence filled the room. It was Glorfindel who broke the quiet atmosphere. "Erestor, listen." He looked at the dark haired counsellor and gave out his suggestion. "How about you stay with me until the time comes?"
"No. I can't." Erestor answered with a low voice. "I promised Elrond I would sail with him."
"It seems we have to keep our promises." Glorfindel concluded. "It seems we have no choices but to follow our pledges."
Erestor remained silent and embraced Glorfindel. He started to sob in the others arms. Glorfindel soothed his lover's raven hair and said. "We will see at the shore one day and the day will come." Glorfindel held Erestor's head and lifted the other's chin and gave him a passionate kiss.
"How about if the Twins make the same pronouncement as their sister?" Erestor asked suddenly after he broke the kiss. "Will you follow them?"
This time, it was Glorfindel who lost his word. He never thought of this question before. Yes, the Twins could make their choice to leave the Middle Earth or stay among with the mortal like Elros and Arwen. A silence fell between them. Once again, it was Glorfindel who broke the soundless air.
"You have my word." Glorfindel said after he took a deep breath. "I will come to you whatever their decision is."
"Are you serious?" Erestor looked at Glorfindel with his eyes opened wild. "But you have a vow to Eärendil to protect his family. And if you..." Erestor's words were cut by Glorfindel's finger which he placed on his lips.
"Shh..." Glorfindel stopped Erestor's speech and started his. "I have to make my choice as well and my choice is you." Glorfindel left his finger and cupped the other's face with his hand. He soothed Erestor's lips with his thumb and continued his speech. "How could I leave *this* adorable counsellor? Will you wait for me in Valinor?"
"In the case you come."
"Of course I will." Glorfindel chuckled and held tightly to Erestor. Then both of them dropped down on the bed. They fell into their loving kiss once again.

Erestor was called back by the voice of an a lbatross . It is a messenger which flew between Middle Earth and the Undying Lands. He would come into sight on the shore when there was a ship sailing toward the Land. After Erestor saw the albatross, he looked at the sea anxious ly. The time seemed to pass very slow; minute by minute, he didn't see any sign of ship. He felt disappointed and prepared to leave. By the time he turned his back, a black spot appeared in the sea. He revolved his head and concentrated on the black spot which was approaching. It was a grey swan ship. A smile hung on his face while he started to run toward the dock.
The swan ship was docked by the time Erestor arrived. All the passengers departed from the ship already. He looked around and saw no one. He frowned and cursed himself for running so slowly. In a moment he turned around and set up his way home, there was a shadow placed in front of him. He tilted his head and tears freely flowed from his eyes. It was Glorfindel who stood and waited for him. He drew a deep breath. "Well, I'm back . " He said.
