“Please don’t send me away.”
The voice came low and soft from behind Cirdan as he sat in his study looking out at the harbor. The room was large with a small balcony looking out over the Gulf of Lune. A desk sat in front of the windows with Cirdan’s chair able to turn so he could better see the bay and contemplate decisions with the illusion of being outside. The sound of elves shouting and hammers falling floated up from the dry docks where the white ships were being constructed to take elves to Aman. Maybe one of these ships would even take Cirdan to the undying lands soon.
“Send you away? What are you talking about?” Cirdan said without turning to look at the younger elf behind him.
“I heard you speaking with Daemir. You are going to send me away” panic began to become evident in the young one’s voice. “What have I done to displease you? I don’t want to leave you; I just found you.”
Cirdan stood and held his hands out “Galdor, come to me”
Without hesitation Galdor raced across the room and into the arms of his new love. He buried his face in Cirdan’s silver locks and fought back the tears that threatened to fall. It had only been two months ago that Cirdan had finally come to him and told him of his feelings. Only two months of stolen kisses after council meetings and blissful night lying in his lover’s arms. Could Cirdan have tired of him already?
“I wished to be the one to talk of this matter with you and not have you overhear it.” He paused and stroked Galdor’s hair ~how I love this elf~ he thought “I do not take this lightly nor do I want to send you from my side, but there is need for someone to travel to Rivendell and you are the only one that I trust with this task. Elrond has called a council; representatives will be there from all of the Elven realms, along with men and dwarves.
Cirdan lifted Galdor’s chin to look him in the eye. “I know you can guess what the council is about”
Galdor nodded his head “the one” he whispered with no need to say more. They both understood each other.
“Will you do this for me; will you go to Rivendell and take council with Elrond?”
“You know I will. You have only to ask and I would go to Mordor and back”
“Do not say such things.” Cirdan said sharply and soon regretted it when Galdor’s eyes grew large with shock at the sternness in his voice. “Forgive me, Galdor, I am a little tired, and the thought of you going to that place makes my blood boil”
“No, Cirdan, I am sorry. I should have thought before I said such a thing. I know what you went through during the last alliance. When must I leave?” Galdor said while nuzzling his head back into Cirdan’s neck.
“The day after tomorrow.”
“So soon?”
“The missive just arrived from Rivendell yesterday, and I have been debating with Daemir who should go. I am sending Nórdithen and Gondithen with you”
“The twins?” Galdor adored the twins but was not sure about them escorting him all the way to Rivendell.
“Yes, they are your friends are they not, I thought that would please you a little.”
“Yes, they are my friends, but they are even younger than I am.”
“And also two of the best warriors we have and Gondithen skills with the common tongue will help; you will have to deal with men and maybe even hobbits.”
“That is true” Galdor said as he kissed along his lover’s neck and ran his hands from his back down to the shapely curve of Cirdan’s backside. ~I do not know how I will be able to leave this, even for a day~
“Galdor, if you continue to molest me I will be unable to have a conversation with you” Cirdan said with a chuckle.
“You know I have a hard time keeping my hands off of you”
Cirdan took Galdor’s chin in his hands again and kissed him soundly on the mouth. “And I you” he murmured while licking at Galdor’s ear. One of the things that Galdor loved about Cirdan, and one of the many things that set him apart from any other elf, was Cirdan’s facial hair. Galdor loved how it rubbed against his face as they kissed, or how it felt against his stomach and thighs as Cirdan worshiped his body. It was a sensation that would always excite him and something that was uniquely Cirdan.
The Elf Lord sat back down in his chair and pulled Galdor by the hips to straddle him. Cirdan was already half hard as Galdor ground himself against him. With their tongues intertwined Cirdan pushed Galdor’s robes to the side and began to unlace his leggings
“Cirdan, we should not do this here.” Galdor said after breaking their kiss, he was new to the physical act of love; Cirdan had been his first in almost everything. He was just starting to discover how he could drive Cirdan crazy with his body.
We should not?” Cirdan questioned while biting at his neck.
Cirdan had Galdor’s erection in his hand and had slowly begun to pump it. All Galdor could do was throw his head back and try not to make any noise.
“You are so beautiful.” Cirdan murmured into his neck. Sweat had began to form on Galdor’s brow and his cheeks were flush he was starting to feel the first pulls in his groin. “I have fantasized about this for a long time.” Cirdan continued in a whisper, “I have always wanted to take you in this chair just like this but in my fantasies, I would be inside of you and you would be riding me like a stallion.”
“Well, doesn’t this make a pretty picture” a voice sneered from the doorway. “Next time you may want to lock the door when engaging in that sort of activity”
Galdor gave a little squeak of surprise and tried to hide his blushing face in Cirdan’s neck. Cirdan pressed his forehead against the side of Galdor’s face and sighed. “What do you need, Daemir?”
“We need to go over these reports from the warriors and decide what to do about the seafood surpluses” Daemir was a tall elf with dark hair and a fair face. He had been Cirdan’s chief councilor for many years and was dedicated to his work and his lord, sometimes a little too dedicated for Galdor’s liking. He had been the only member of Cirdan’s inner circle that had objected to Galdor becoming an advisor, and since then he was always looking for a way to put Galdor down or make him look bad in the eyes of their lord. It only became worse when Galdor and Cirdan had become lovers.
“Could you wait out in the hall for a moment?” Cirdan asked
“Of course, my lord.”
They both stood up when Daemir had left the room. Cirdan kissed Galdor on the mouth and helped him lace his leggings and straighten his robe. “We will talk more about this later, and we have some unfinished business to attend to tonight, I love you” he whispered.
When Galdor exited the room, Daemir entered giving Galdor a sneer as they passed.
“Well let’s see to this shall we?” Cirdan said.
“Yes, my lord, but first I wish to talk to you about Galdor” Daemir cleared his throat “I, as well of half of Mithlond, know that he is your new plaything…”
Cirdan’s eyes narrowed “You should not speak of things you don’t understand! I am in love with Galdor, and I will not have you demean our relationship by saying such things,” he did not often get angry but when risen to anger it was best to steer clear of him. “The way you talk I have been hopping from bed to bed this passed age.”
“No, my lord, I would never insinuate that. What I was saying is that it might be best for Galdor to keep your relationship under wraps while he is in the house of Elrond. For his own sake, of course. I would not want him to be looked down on, or for others to think less of him just because he is your lover.” Daemir tried to sooth Cirdan. “The council may think that the only reason he has been promoted to advisor and ambassador at such a young age is because he is sleeping with you; I am only looking out for his best interest and this realm’s.”
Part two:
When Galdor left Cirdan’s study he headed to the beach where he could think. On the way past the training grounds he heard his name called.
“Galdor, wait up” Nórdithen and Gondithen ran to catch up with him. “We have just finished sword practice and were given a break for mid-day meal. Where are you headed?” Their identical faces were covered in sweat and they carried their swords with them.
”I am going to the beach.” Galdor replied
“Well wait here a second and I’ll get lunch and bring it with us. A nice dip in the water sounds good, does it not Gondithen? Galdor looks like he could use some cooling off, you seem a little flush, and like you have had some strenuous activity lately. Been to see Cirdan have you?” Nórdithen said with a smirk while walking towards the kitchens.
“You will have to forgive my brother he is not as refined as I.”
Galdor and Gondithen walked slowly towards the beach not saying much. Galdor was too lost in thought and Gondithen respected his wishes not to talk. Galdor had known the twins for most of his life and they had been friends for all of that time. Their mother was close kin to Cirdan and after their father was wounded in battle they were left in the care of Cirdan when both of their parents sailed over the sea.
They were half way to their destination when Nórdithen caught up with them.
“So we are all going to Rivendell, isn’t it exciting? This will be the farthest away from Mithlond either of us have been; how about you Galdor?
“What?” Galdor asked. He had been thinking about how hard it was going to be for him to leave Cirdan and had missed what Gondithen had said.
“I asked if you had ever been farther than Rivendell, wow Galdor, what is wrong with you today?” They have found a spot on the beach for their picnic and Gondithen was spreading out a blanked to sit on.
“Will you shut up and leave him alone, he is obviously upset about leaving and does not want to talk about it. Now hand me some of that chicken, I’m famished.” Gondithen said.
They ate the rest of their meal in silence listening to the waves beat along the shore. By the time they had finished Galdor was beginning to come to terms with the separation.
“Let’s swim” he said while standing and beginning to disrobe. They spent the rest of the afternoon in the water splashing and playing in the waves.
“Now this is the Galdor we know and love,” Gondithen said. “You will see, we will have fun on this journey and will be back before you know it.”
“I hope so.” Galdor said.
“Besides, I hear there are many beautiful elves in the house of Elrond. You may have found your hearts desire Galdor, but Gondithen and I are still looking” Nórdithen added.
