people. Especially homophobes. Also, smokers and bad drivers.
Seen LOTR in cinema how often?: Hmmm... I think 3 but I watched
my FotR extended VHS tape so often that it snapped! But the nice man at the
electronics store repaired it for me!
*****
Favorite Story in Archive: Oooh... Have yet to read it all but I do love Larien Elengasse's A Perfect Love series. But as for my all time favourite, that definately goes to Runedancer's Unspoken Arc! She made me fall in love with Erestor and Thranduil
Favorite Character (real/fictional): Marton/Celeborn; Erestor, Thranduil and Sean/Boromir. (Yes, Orlando and Viggo are good too - but hey! - Everyone loves them!)
Most hated Character: Lurtz becuse he shot Boromir full of arrows. But he got his when Aragorn chopped his head off!
Favorite Movie: Asides from LotR, Little Shop of Horrors.
Favorite Book: Too many to count
How did you come to fan-fiction/slash writing?: Looking for FotR pics and stumbled across fanfic, joined some mailing lists and haven't looked back! As for slash writing, my original stuff is all m/m. Started fanfic writing as a response to a beautiful fic I read that has abominable dialogue and it annoyed me to the degree I began to rewrite it, got bored half way through, changed it, and have my current WIP!
How do you come up with ideas for stories?: Lot's of ways - sometimes they just jump into my mind, sometimes it comes from a suggestion from someone else... Depend's on the style and characters I'm writing.
What do you do to overcome writer's block?: Chocolate, fizzy lemon-flavoured vitamin drink. Also - I whinge to my beta readers or friends and get suggestions and then sit on my hands and keep looking at it until I am re-inspired - though that can take a while. Or sometimes, I read BAD fanfic and rile myself back into it! Also - rereading RD's take on Erestor! ;-)
Have you written in any other fandom?: Nope - purely LotR.
Do you use music as a soundtrack for your writing? If yes, what kind?: Well I don't write stories with certain songs in mind, but it can be a great inspiration. I'll use anything - I'm very eclectic. But for angsty romance I listen to *cowers* Celine Dion!!!
Is there a certain time of day you usually sit down to write?: Well whenever I have a spare five minutes, so usually at night and into the wee hours of the morning. Also, I've found that statistics lectures are very condusive to writing!
Have you or would you write stories "on request" for readers?: I haven't, but I'd give it a shot depending on what they were requesting.
Which of your own stories do you like best?: Hmmm... Well having only written one I won't pick just yet. But I do like my poems
What do you think, why the mostly female writers in slash make up stories about male/male relationships?: Hmmm... So much debate over this topic! I think part of it is exactly the same as why guys have a "thing" about two girls together.
Do you have muses who help you with your stories? If yes, who are they?: Oh yes! Larien Elengasse is my brilliant beta and muse for all those times I get stuck! Also, Oakenshield; and Elizabeth and her smut muses do wonders! However, Erestor is a silent but sexy muse. He sits there giving me "Come hither and write me" looks! Celeborn is a little more obvious, but will leave me alone when he's not wanted. Thranduil on the other hand, is very demanding, but Erestor and Celeborn keep him in well enough in check.
What do you think is your trademark in stories and why?: Well I'd say it's my ability to draw out foreplay for pages and pages! Also - BDSM poetry! But I don't write it anymore - Just not the same without my inspiration...
What part of your writing do you think still needs improvement?: Sex! I can't write a direct, explicit sex scene to save my life! Also, I need to write out what I have in mind before I start or else I tend to forget my story line!
Is there something you would never write?:
Anything non-con. Also, not big on dwarves, hobbits or orcs!
