How did you come to fan-fiction/slash writing? I belong to another writing group and the topic of fan/slash fic came up in discussion ... Let's just say my curiosity led me to find this site. I've been hooked ever since!
How do you come up with ideas for stories? Daydreaming, fantasies, fan art, songs ... (Funnily enough, the story I'm working on right now came from listening to Brooks and Dunn's "My Maria" on the radio, driving home from work :)
What do you do to overcome writer's block? Just stop writing for a day or two, and use the time to enjoy reading other's stories. It always inspires me to go back.
Have you written in any other fandom? Yes
If yes, where can your stories be found? Hmm ... I've not
found a home for them yet.
Do you use music as a soundtrack for your writing: Sometimes.
If yes, what kind? Kate Bush, Enya, and Loreena Mckennitt
work well.
Is there a certain time of day you usually sit down to write? Late at night
Have you or would you write stories "on request" for readers? I've never been asked. But sure ... I'd give it a go.
Which of your own stories do you like best? I'm not there yet! :)
What do you think, why the mostly female writers in slash make up stories about male/male relationships? Gosh, I'm not sure? I guess it's easier for women to 'detach' themselves, when writing a m/m scene. It's a wonderful way to get creative and allow the imagination to run wild.
Do you have muses who help you with your stories? Oh Yes
:)
If yes, who are they? Boromir, though he get's a little cranky from time to
time and refuses to help. :)
What do you think is your trademark in stories and why? Not sure I've found my niche yet.
What part of your writing do you think still needs improvement? All of it! But most of all, I really need to set a slower pace in my stories. Short stories are difficult for me, because I tend to feel like I need to hurry up and get to the point. I should either spread them out a little better or just stop trying to pack so much into them. Structure ... I need better structure.
Is there something you would never write? Basically, anything that is illegal in RL.
