Title/Keeper of: a tenuous grip on sanity ;-)
Age: 37
Gender: F
Relationship Status: married
Home: Connecticut
Occupation: Analyst for a major insurance company
Hobbies: Slash writing, slash reading... Seriously, I have very little time for hobbies.
Dislikes: Spinach. Oh, never mind. I dislike superiority complexes and people with no sense of humor.
Seen LOTR/TTT/ROTK in cinema how often?: FotR and TTT I didn’t see until they came out on dvd, but purchased both the TV and the EE and have viewed them countless times. Saw RotK 4 times in the cinema and purchased the TV. Read the books many, many times over the past 13 years, have read UT, The Sil and LT; am planning to acquire and read the rest of Tolkien’s works someday before I die.

*****

Favorite Story in Archive: There are just too many talented writers to be able to narrow the stories down.

Favorite Character (real / fictional): The Elves have such unique characteristics it would be impossible to say whom I like best. My favorite pairings are Glorfindel/Erestor, the twins, and any/all of the beautiful Marchwardens of Lorien.

Most Hated Character: Grima Wormtongue. Pasty white face, stringy hair... *shudder*

Favorite Movie: Other than any of the LotR movies, I love The Princess Bride. It’s brilliant. I also love any of the Monty Python movies.

Favorite Book: Duh... Other than LotR? Stephen King and Anne Rice. The Vampire Chronicles inspired many lusty fantasies back in college.

How did you come to fan-fiction writing? As I recall, I read some fan-fiction on the TORN site, searched ff.net, found some slashy ones and from that moment on, I was a woman on a mission.

How do you come up with ideas for stories? Sometimes an idea will occur while I’m reading another fic. Most of the time I’m inspired by whatever music I’m listening to and a scene will pop itself into my head, live and in color.

What do you do to overcome writer's block? Ice cream works wonders. *lol* Just patience, and eventually my muses will speak. Those Peredhil muses are real he-bitches.

Have you written in any other fandom? If yes, where can your stories be found? No, LotR is the only fandom I have interest in.

Do you use music as a soundtrack for your writing? If yes, what kind? I am inspired by Sarah McLachlan’s music, mostly. She’s got a beautiful, lush voice and her lyrics move me.

Is there a certain time of day you usually sit down to write? Late evenings, or whenever I can grab a few minutes of quiet. Sometimes during those interminable conference calls which corporate America seems so fond of.

Have you or would you write stories "on request" for readers? I am currently writing a story at the request of a good friend.

Which of your own stories do you like best? Ask me again in six months! *smile* I’m new to fan-fiction writing and have not written enough to determine which is my favorite!

Do you have muses who help you with your stories? If yes, who are they? *shrugs*

What do you think is your trademark in stories and why? I love a very detailed, graphic sex scene. *grin*

What part of your writing do you think still needs improvement? Fluidity and plot development.

Is there something you would never write? Extreme non-con/rape, torture, hard-core BDSM, hobbits or dwarves. Or Istari. They may be gorgeous in Aman, but in Middle-Earth? Euwww. I also don’t intend to ever write an Aragorn pairing with anyone other than Arwen. They just belong together. He may get a little comfort sex now and again, but his true love is Arwen and I intend to keep it that way. ?
