How did you come to fan-fiction writing? My sister got me started, and I've never looked back since.
How do you come up with ideas for stories? In art galleries, at the bottom of the ocean, reading a book; basically, anywhere, although my imagination usually runs wild when I'm in a new place.
What do you do to overcome writer's block? Read a book, drink a cup of tea, write another story, do some research (not necessarily in that order).
Have you written in any other fandom? Yes, a solitary piece for Harry Potter. If yes, where can your stories be found? FF.net
Do you use music as a soundtrack for your writing? If I'm feeling silly, I'll put on LotR. Otherwise, whatever is on my iPod at the moment.
Is there a certain time of day you usually sit down to write? At night, before I go to bed.
Have you or would you write stories "on request" for readers? I've never done so before, but would relish a challenge.
Which of your own stories do you like best? Well, it's a non-slash piece called Greenleaf, and is about how Legolas's birth was to bring peace to a ravaged people.
Do you have muses who help you with your stories? Yes. If yes, who are they? My Legolas clones, Johnny Depp's performances (I'll leave that to your imagination!).
What do you think is your trademark in stories and why? An inescapable descent into madness and angst. I'm a cynic who has spent too much time in the last 3 years studying psychology. I am fascinated by studies of character, and as such, my pieces tend to be (some say too) character driven. I want to know what makes people (or Elves, in this case) tick, and to explore the inner demons that confront them.
What part of your writing do you think still needs improvement? Every part of it! I'm concentrating on tightening up my language at the moment, and also working on imagery. Would also like to keep my stories and characters under control for a change.
Is there something you would never write? Real-person stories. Just not my thing.
