How did you come to fan-fiction writing? It all started with an X-Files parody about seven years ago.
How do you come up with ideas for stories? Inspiration manifests everywhere around me.
What do you do to overcome writer's block? Sleep on it.
Have you written in any other fandom? If yes, where can your stories be found? Yes, but they live very solitary lives of embarrassment on my hard-drive. Though I do have one story up at Ink-Stained Fingers.
Do you use music as a soundtrack for your writing? If yes, what kind? Actually, I prefer to write while there’s a good movie playing on the TV.
Is there a certain time of day you usually sit down to write? Mostly before bed.
Have you or would you write stories "on request" for readers? I tend to break under pressure, so no.
Which of your own stories do you like best? My personal favorite: The Lover’s Melancholy
Do you have muses who help you with your stories? If yes, who are they? In a ghostly, unnamed, ephemeral sort of way, like a mental muttering.
What do you think is your trademark in stories and why? People tell me my story ideas are unique. (I disagree, by the way. I find very little originality in my plots and devices.) I’d like to think I have well-rounded stories: I take plausibility very seriously in terms of world and character, develop specific voices for dialogues, and think twice about everything, from my lyrical (an oft-used word to descibe my writings) wordscapes to word order and grammar.
What part of your writing do you think still needs improvement? Plot plot plot.
Is there something you would never write? There are some things I have not written, but as for the future, never say never! I leave all possibilities open!
