*****

Favorite Archive: Oooh...lots!

Favorite Character (real/fictional): Eluréd and Elurín, Maedhros, Maglor, Fingon.

Most hated Character: Legolas, usually (I blame the fangurlz!)

Favorite Movie: FOTR...or Four Weddings when I just want soppy cuteness!

Favorite Book: BoLT 2...or The Silicon Mage by Barbara Hambly

How did you come to fan-fiction/slash writing? Was looking for pictures of Orlando Bloom as a 16-year-old fangurl and found myself on a Legolas/twincest archive. Before I knew it, I was in the middle of an R-rated twincest! I ran off in disgust, but 6 weeks later I was crawling back for more!

How do you come up with ideas for stories? They find me! Weird things set me off, like dancing, or just a scene outdoors, or something someone says.

What do you do to overcome writer's block? Switch to a different story. Or refuse to let myself go to bed till I'm writing again.

Have you written in any other fandom? Erm...yes. HP. Please don't hurt me.

If yes, where can your stories be found? FF and AFF. But I'm not telling you the pseudonym. Never!

Do you use music as a soundtrack for your writing? Sometimes

If yes, what kind? Nightwish, Blind Guardian, Big Country, Deine Lakaien. All sorts, really!

Is there a certain time of day you usually sit down to write? Late evening. Like, 11pm - often just before bed. Or in lectures.

Have you or would you write stories "on request" for readers? I'd do it if they gave me ideas I could work with, but if the request doesn't inspire me, I simply couldn't write.

Which of your own stories do you like best? At the moment, probably A Falcon for the Nightingale because I got to explore the characters in a lot of depth and really go to town with the description.

Do you have muses who help you with your stories? Yes! RL ones and Elves!

If yes, who are they? There are my lovely real life muses who are amazing for idea-bouncing: Ford of Bruinen and Tuxedo Elf mostly at the moment. And then the Elves, especially the twins and the Fëanorians, plus numerous OCs created from the combined efforts of roleplaying games and my crazy brain.

What do you think is your trademark in stories and why? Eep! Erm...possibly the descriptive style. I love plants (I'm a plant scientist, what do you expect?!), so I inevitibly end up with the characters outside among nature. I love breathtaking scenery, so if I can put some of that in the fic I will.

What part of your writing do you think still needs improvement? Hmm...probably more distinctive ideas. And I can get carried away with long, cumbersome sentences sometimes! I also have a really bad habit of starting too many sentences with "And" and "But".

Is there something you would never write? Chan or shiota-con. Never, ever. Or hobbits. Or Gimli/Rose femslash, despite what some people may say! I can't see myself writing a rapefic for any reason, either.
