How did you come to fan-fiction/slash writing? Originally joined a Mary Sue fanfic list (didn’t know any better) and got bored…found and read Liz’s Truth or Dare and imploded. I wanted to make other people feel like that made me feel!
How do you come up with ideas for stories? Hell, I don’t know. It’s a mystery to me.
What do you do to overcome writer's block? Wait it out. Talk to other writers to get inspired.
Have you written in any other fandom? If yes, where can your stories be found? Nope. Never occurred to me! Just got a computer right before FOTR came out and hadn’t a clue that all that was out there.
Do you use music as a soundtrack for your writing? If yes, what kind? Hmmm, sometimes. Not usually though as it’s too distracting.
Is there a certain time of day you usually sit down to write? Usually at night or on weekends as that’s the only free time I’ve got.
Have you or would you write stories "on request" for readers? Yes. I am working on one for Max Yotan author of The Clash as a gift. Wrote a short birthday fic for a list sib.
Which of your own stories do you like best? Oh, they are all like my children, so I couldn’t possibly pick. Besides there aren’t that many…
What do you think, why the mostly female writers in slash make up stories about male/male relationships? This is the question I ask everyone who writes slash when I first meet them! Everyone writes for their own reasons, but I am personally fascinated by the psychology of slash writing. I think, as with yaoi, girls like to think about/see pretty boys making love, and having no female "competition". They boys are just not interested in "me", they are not interested in "any" girl…
Do you have muses who help you with your stories? If yes, who are they? Haldir the sexy Marchwarden of Lorien, who is not allowed to wear anything but leather trousers and his scornful sneer in my presence… he whispers the naughtiest things in my ear, usually having to do with what he wants to do to Legs.
What do you think is your trademark in stories and why? Gahd, I never thought about it. Well, maybe the Legorlando characters in Elf’s Rose and Picture This…
What part of your writing do you think still needs improvement? Hmmm, maybe descriptives… I get nervous that it’s gonna get boring, so I tend to write stark.
Is there something you would never write? Non-con sex with either adults or children or animals (rape or molestation), Gimli slash (just can’t picture it, sorry!), extreme violence.
